This place is a gem, very clean and the food is amazing! Staff were very friendly and attentive at all times. The pool area was just stunningly beautiful and just very luscious with tropical gardens and plants. Loved the buffet breakfast in the mornings. My double suite I stayed in was very clean and very comfortable, the room had slippers, robe, complementary toiletries and a safe. I recommend this place to couples and singles that like the peaceful quality time to themselves. With all the other ammenties of the hotel I give this place a big thumps up and i can't wait to come back for a second stay.

The location is great & really central. The staff were super friendly and hospitable. The bonus of complimentary bicycles was a lovely way to get about. The breakfast was served in a lovely space. Bali’s oldest beach resort retains its reputation as a glamorous alternative to nearby Kuta. The coastline of Sanur has a long stretch of white sand lined with restaurants and bars. It is tailor made for chic clientele or families wanting to relax in an exclusive resort or villa without the need to party into the wee hours.
Sanur is also a popular day trip destination for tourists staying in Kuta looking to do some water sports. There are many companies offering diving along its submerged outer reef, jet skiing on top of its blue waters or paragliding in the cool breezes above this ocean paradise.
The shoreline features a cycle path that is also perfect for walking and jogging. At its very northern tip is the ferry terminal that offers boat trips to Nusa Lembongan, a small island off the southeast coast of Bali that is famous for its laid-back atmosphere.
Sanur has its fair share of markets providing an impressive range of artistic handicrafts such as wood carvings and batik paintings. Best of these are the Sindhu Market and the daytime beachfront market.
Sanur is the closest beach to the island’s capital, Denpasar, with its many temples and museums. Booking.com has a range of hotels along Sanur Beach or close to Ngurah International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport.
Sanur is such a great all-round place to stay in Bali.
Sanur is such a great all-round place to stay in Bali. The beachfront promenade is definitely the place to hangout with all the restaurants and shops along it's 5km length. Great for older travelers as well as families, not so much for younger people looking for beach clubs and nightclubs but they are well catered for in Seminyak and Canngu.

Considerably less crowded that Seminya, Kuta and Ubud.
Considerably less crowded that Seminya, Kuta and Ubud. Sanur still has all of the amenities you need (including really good coffee) without the same hassle. Like everywhere, be careful of back street money changers, but Sanur offers everything you need.

The locals call it sleepy sanur because there is not much night life. By Balinese standards the traffic is light. There are lots of restaurants along the beach and the main road. We go here for a quiet relaxing holiday. If you want a quiet place this is the place to be as it is only 30 minutes from the airport. It doesn't take long to get to the activities that people like to do for tourism. It is a lot closer to the good region than is Kuta etc.

Sanur was the best town for me to visit with an 8year old.
Sanur was the best town for me to visit with an 8year old. Not nearly as congested as the rest of Bali with good eating, swimming and sightseeing activities. Its NOT dirty and full of litter as a lot of reviews suggest - but then again - if you want 5 star instagram holiday - go to the rest of Bali and live in the virtual world - Sanur is REAL.....Thank you

Sanur is one of the original old settlements.
Sanur is one of the original old settlements. Really interesting area with lots of various things to see and many various places to eat, relax and refresh. Main St offers shade in both morning and later afternoon, so there is sun protection for sight seers / window shoppers. Doctors and pharmacies available if needs must. Lots of choices for shopping. Bartering still available in most shops, so give it a go. The seaside corniche / promenade is a wide path accommodating both bikes and pedestrians can stroll, taking their time to enjoy the ambiance of the seaside spots. Fabulous - it just feels so exotic - the balinese people are so lovely and you truely have the feeling of being away from your usual grind. Looking forward to returning already!

Sanur used to be a place for relaxing.
Sanur used to be a place for relaxing. Unfortunately it is now full of people. The music on the beach is not there. The atmosphere has gone and the ladies in the beach and stalls are rude and pushy. Locking you in shops till you buy something or following you on walks and grabbing you.
I have been coming to Bali since 1974, this is my 42 trip, fIrst time ever in Sanur and first time at a home stay. Never again will i stay in upmarket hotel, family was wonderful to me,staff so friendly felt safe,BEST EVER TRIP..Coming back next year this year i stayed a month next yr 3months cant wait. To the family and staff thank you so so much for the last month it was an exceptional experience
The location of Respati Beach Hotel is perfect. Right on the beach and in the middle of Sanur. The staff were extremely helpful and really lovely. We had a late flight leaving Bali but we were able to leave our luggage at reception, spend the day on the beach and then use a room to shower before going to the airport. What a bonus. We loved our stay at Respati. We highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel has a pretty pool area but it’s insufficient for the amount of rooms there (since one half is adults only). It only benefits from sunshine in the morning so the pool water never gets that warm. We didn’t spend a single day sitting there, opting to use facilities at another hotel on the beachfront. Staff are friendly, helpful and polite.
When I was booking Hotel Jati for only one night to reach the early ferryboat on the next morning I‘ve never exspected such a warm welcome, nice and cosy place in traditional balinese style, clean room, beautiful garden and good location with so many options for restaurants around. A hidden gem in Sanur!
Ideal location. The pool and breakfast area are the best in Sanur, they overlook the beach. It’s our go to hotel in Bali, always has been and always will be.
