Excellent customer service! We were greeted with a porter who fetched us from the port and effortlessly handled our two large suitcases all the way to our spacious room. The included breakfast was a delightful bonus. The location is superb, making us feel completely looked after throughout our stay.

Don’t know how we were selected but we received a free upgrade to a large double aspect suite (room 1610) from a superior double with balcony. Amazing views of the sea and resort itself and far enough from the madness round the pool. Judging from other reviews, we must have been further lucky to have a very fashionable and updated room. The 10-15 min walk to town along the beach is most pleasing. Plenty of staff at breakfast (which was ok) and the baggage service form the port is much appreciated

Marko and his wife are fabulous hosts , they go above and beyond , even as far as picking us up without charge from the port ( which you will definitely appreciate when you go trust me the taxis are extortionate and all the cobbles and small streets make it difficult with luggage to walk) the beds are extremely comfortable , breakfast is fabulous the pancakes are superb ! Marko shows you the area where shops are the beach etc! It is prime location in the middle of the harbour and beach 10 minute walk each way. Super safe area we felt safe walking at night and the area is quite far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the port which gets quite lively at night. I would love to stay again it’s so homey and such a better experience than a big hotel !

Hvar is the largest city on the Croatian island of the same name within the Adriatic Sea. The wildly undulating coastline formed a natural harbour here, a fact which didn’t go unnoticed by the Venetians, who captured it as part of their empire. The Venetian Fortress sits atop a hill and 13th-century ramparts descend to the old town.
Another castle from Napoleonic times is on a different hill offering beautiful views over red roofs towards the offshore Pakleni islands sheltering the port. Ferries link Hvar to neighbouring Brač and Vis islands, Split and Ancona in Italy.
Given the size of the city, the amount of Hvar accommodation is staggering, and Booking.com offers everything from luxury hotels with pools to cheap guest houses and beachfront apartments. Although most beaches are rocky, their scenic setting and warm turquoise waters are still a draw.
At the heart of the city is the largest square in Dalmatia. Restaurants and bars spill out onto its cobbles, ending at St Stephen’s Cathedral with its see-through belltower. Around the same time the cathedral was going up, one of Europe’s oldest theatres was constructed in the waterfront Arsenal. The Loggia is the only remain of the Governor’s Palace, and the Hvar Heritage Museum helps to put all this in context.
didnt spend too much time in Hvar town. We were mostly secluded at our small hotel but we loved the island and it was pretty easy to get to and plenty of ferries to time your arrival and departure easily.

Hvar is expensive so do not go expecting it to match the cost of living in Greece, Spain or Turkey. Eating-out is pretty much 'Fine Dining' everywhere and is apparently priced for the super yacht clientele. Supermarket prices are also more than London! It's a shame as many locals & Europeans are being priced out and this trend looks set to continue. But it's a very picturesque harbour & fortress town. We thoroughly enjoyed it and are now back to work to pay it off! 😂

We liked the quick easy access to Pakleni Islands.
We liked the quick easy access to Pakleni Islands. We had 6 teenagers with us and they loved the speed boat ride over to islands and loved swimming in different bays. We could have spent more time on Hvar and taken scooters around island

Hvar is a beautiful place, full of character.
Hvar is a beautiful place, full of character. On an evening it’s really busy around the bars and restaurants. Mostly young people. We did eat well and there’s plenty of choice. You may have to book certain restaurants but we were ok.
Really, genuinely exceptional hotel. The breakfast was incredible, the staff were amazing and the property the hotel is on is absolutely stunning, felt like we were in a movie. Really nice outdoor pool and an equally great indoor pool with much colder water to help you cool down on a 34 degree Hvar day. 100% will be back, cannot wait.
I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Yes its very old,but the beach, food and staff impress me.
Big super thanks to Aleksandar from reception who was proffessional and Extraordinary and help me and guiding me about the best trips, beaches and places in town and on island Hvar.
Thank you.
We will definitely come again.
Beautiful location 15 mins drive away from the main Hvar town area which is perfect for relaxation, it is located on a beautiful beach which isn't too crowded and they also have a lovely pool area. Also really appreciated the free pick up and drop off service they have from Hvar town to their hotel.
Great little hotel, I've stayed before and will again hopefully ,great host in Bruno, always ready to help with anything and provide assistance ,the top man in Hvar, not far from the beach.also the cleaning lady does a great job also, which may go un noticed.
Lovely room, spacious & clean with daily maid service. Great view - even though not a full sea view. Great location with pool & loungers - a rarity for small hotels in Hvar.
