The staff were very friendly and helpful. Always greeted with a smile, remembered my name. The lady at reception was amazing and went above and beyond with giving details of where to go.
Beds were very comfortable, had a sea view room, roof top pool was very nice with bar facilities. We were able to walk into Split town (it was a 25min walk) but it was worth it. The local beach was like a postcard picture. Definitely recommend this hotel. Breakfast has lots of options as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Amazing place, having a guide gave us information we wouldn't have got by ourselves. HOWEVER THE PLACE IS A PICKPOCKET'S HEAVEN!!! You have to be extremely careful with your bags and anything in your pockets. Such a shame to spoil tourists experiences.

This is a fascinating place with a lot of history and development - get a guide or join a walking tour. The guides are very good and you will get a much better appreciation of what you are looking at as there are so many layers to this city.

Amazing area to stay in when you travel here, full of history and national landmarks. The lights and sculptures are very entrancing at night. Very safe to walk around this area day or night. Lots of food options. The food is amazing. The beaches outside of the city are very clean and excellent swimming conditions. Rent a bike and ask where to go, they will direct you to a park that has the most amazing natural beaches in the area. I loved Croatia.

Amazing to have a walking tour of Split and the Diocletian's Palace on our first day. It gave us a real understanding of the place. We spoke to a couple of guides and chose Zdenko Cvijetic an official city tour guide who grew up in Split. tel: +385977119791
He was amazing, really knowledgeable and entertaining. Spoke perfect English and the tour was well paced. Lot's of great stories about this wonderful city!

Diocletian's palace is over rated, while it is beautiful but I was shocked and horrified to see the locals celebrate a local wedding that made a mess with fireworks and streamers in a UNESCO site. Unheard of but seems to be due corrupt people in power and wealthy locals flaunting the rules. The place is very crowded with restaurants all over this UNESCO site tourist leaving wrappers and garbage in corners. Very sad and disgraceful with locals allowing food to be served and eaten in a world heritage site.

Diocletian's Palace is the main reason to visit Split.
Diocletian's Palace is the main reason to visit Split. This is not a museum, although it contains several museums. The palace is a living piece of history that continues to evolve and to be used by residents and visitors alike. It is great to experience an historic place that is so energized day and night. We explored the historic elements, experienced impromptu concerts and a wedding, and we ate, shopped, enjoyed coffee, wine, and cocktails, and relaxed within its walls. I could spend many more days there and I would learn even more.

The room was wonderful, a very nice size and a bathroom with 2 sinks! The bed, duvet and pillows were very comfortable and the service kept all toiletries stocked. The location is excellent, easy walking to Diocletian’s palace and all the sites in the old town. Also very close to the harbour and ferries. Breakfast was also very good and convenient. Tonkica was very helpful and a great ambassador for the hotel and Split, a very nice lady. All in all a super place to stay in Split, highly recommend 😁
Location, location, location. Next door to Diocletian’s Palace and easy stroll to the ocean. I enjoyed the jazz bar. The staff was superior. They handled all our luggage from the taxi to the hotel. That was a considerable distance as the property is in a no vehicle zone. They provide a full breakfast with fresh pastries and eggs made to order. I recommend room 4 because it had a balcony from which you can listen to the music from below while watching the throngs of people in the plaza outside.
Location - location - location! Makarun Heritage Rooms were within walking distance to the Diocletian’s Palace, shops and restaurants. Mario & Luka went above and beyond to make us feel welcome to their boutique hotel and the city of Split. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, too.
Fully equipped apartment, clean and on the ground floor. It’s away from the crowded part of the city, but only 10-15 minute walk to Diocletian’s palace, with grocery stores nearby and on a relatively not busy street with free parking available. The hosts were very friendly and responsive and available for any help practically at any time. They were considerate to have turned the A/C on before our arrival, while it was 40° outside.
Apartment is clean and newly renovated. Conveniently located. Just a few steps to the Diocletian’s Palace and the Riva. Close to the ferry, main bus and train terminals. Bakeries and restaurants within its close vicinity. Easy communication with host, Darian. Appreciated the welcome drinks in the fridge. Check-in and check-out was a breeze.
Amazing central location inside Diocletian’s Palace. We were upgraded to a slightly larger room by a gracious staff. Each member of their team was so helpful with your information, ferry reservations and general knowledge about the area. They also reached out in advance of our trip to offer many types of assistance. Breakfast was the best we had across many hotels. We loved Murum and look forward to returning!
Gorgeous property with an amazing location! Two minutes from Diocletian’s Palace and the heart of Split, which was incredible and so convenient. The apartment was beautifully decorated, and so comfortable and well-appointed. Huge parking lot right behind the building, as well, which was perfect for our rental car. Overall, we loved this apartment, and we wish we’d had a longer stay!
Excellent location very close to the Golden Gate / Porta Aurea. No stairs between the Golden Gate and the building the apartment is in. Apartment is on the second floor, but the stairs are wide and easy to navigate with luggage. In the middle of Diocletian’s Palace, but down a narrow street that is quiet and next to a small garden. The apartment is newly renovated and clean, with washing machine, large bathroom, and kitchen. The host was very responsive to messages on Booking.com. Would stay here again!
