BEST WESTERN PLUS Hotel Hong Kong, hotel in Hong Kong

Located on Hong Kong Island, Best Western Plus Hotel Hong Kong overlooks the Victoria Harbour and the Macau Ferry Pier. It offers 2 restaurants and luxurious rooms with marble bathrooms.

Check-in was ok. Even if my booking had an issue, the hotel was very kind to accommodate us and let us allow to pay via cash. Best Western is right along Dex Voeux so it's easy to travel to Central via the tram since we could just catch the tram in front of the hotel, however the Sai Yin Pun MTR Station is a bit of a walk. The room was big enough and I wished they'd offer queen beds. The room was clean enough, carpet's a bit old -- looked dirty but all in all, the amenities were OK.

FAQs about hotels in Hong Kong

Style Amidst the Skyscrapers

One of the world’s busiest and most populated cities, Hong Kong is best-known for its stunning skyline with over 1200 skyscrapers and its “East meets West” cultural mix. With architecture and interior design influenced by feng shui and modern technology, this city is truly unique.

Hong Kong offers plenty of interesting city and thematic tours, ranging from cuisine-oriented, to architecture, to nature. The latter is particularly fascinating as Hong Kong has many amazing mountain landscapes, marine parks and the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island is only a ferry ride away.

Kowloon is a busy urban center near Victoria Harbour, where ferries are an excellent choice to see just how tall Hong Kong's buildings actually are. Excellent tax-free shopping can be found in high-class malls, boutiques and street markets.

Hong Kongs’ unique cultural fusion is clearly seen, tasted and heard in the local food, like dim sum from Maxim's Palace or hot pot from street vendors complimented local Cantopop music in the backgound.

Arriving at Hong Kong International Airport you’re only a short trip from the city centre. Whether you’re staying in a chic hotel or a budget hostel, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Hong Kong holiday.

It’s a city of great variety and therefore extremely interesting! People are very nice and the food is amazing! The meal at Muiklee was delicious! The harbour offer unforgettable images. Wonderful is also the Museum of Art. I spent in it 4 hours without getting tired and it is for free! I went around by bus and subway and it is possible to pay with a credit card which is very convenient.

Staying in Sha Tin was an excellent choice for me, as it was removed from Hong Kong Island but travel to other places was easily accessed by the MTR. Hong Kong is an incredible melting pot of cultures, traditions, and cuisine. It’s very easy to amble your way through the region with only speaking English. The city itself feels very clean and safe.

This is a charming place with stunning views, and it’s completely safe for solo travelers, even late at night. The food is enjoyable, but I would say HK is not a vegan-friendly place. Communication can be challenging as many locals don’t speak English; it’s tough without knowledge of Cantonese or Mandarin, especially if your phone runs out of battery and you cannot use Google translate. Hong Kong’s transportation is remarkable, offering various options like high-speed trains, MTR, buses, trams, and minibuses. However, the cost of living is quite high compared to neighboring countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

I found eateries are plentiful and have delicious food and drinks all freshly prepared. Hong Kong has excellent places to visit and has an excellent accessibility via public transport to mainland China so call Motherland. Macao is a brilliant with historical sites and buildings with Portuguese heritage and roads signage are entwined with Portugal. Macao is my favourite Overall Hong Kong is always busy with sea of people and is a shopping haven for jewelleries like gold and jades. Modern shopping malls and traditional market stores all great experience

Location was fantastic - great eating options within 5 minute walk. 4 minute walk to train station, 5 minutes to bus stop. Backed onto Kowloon Park and the wonderful Flamingo sanctuary! 20 min walk or cheap taxi ride down to the harbour and the Star Ferry. Across the road was a Wellcome grocery store and a 7/11 - plus Cafe de Coral for great fast eating options. Temple street night market just a 10 minute walk as well as Yue Hwa emporium. I’ve been fortunate to have stayed at this hotel just 7months ago and the staff and amenities are consistently good. This hotel is well positioned for sightseeing and the beds and pillows allow you to sleep well after a busy day out. Oh, and if you want a coffee or tea or just a snack in the lobby cafe Lydia is the best hostess. Such a professional. We had a great experience at Harbour Grand Hong Kong. We were given a free room upgrade which was nice. Our room was spacious and had a great view. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I saw they had a pillow menu but it wasn’t necessary as the ones in the room were perfect. The hotel was less than a 5 minute walk to a metro station which allows you to easily go anywhere you’d like. There were also a bunch of restaurants in the area.
