Very clean, comfortable and a good location. The host was lovely and helped us sort transport to Semuc with ease. It was a bonus we had hot water as I don’t think many hotels do in Lanquín.

Casa Mary was a special little hostel made ideal by Mary and her son David. Nothing was too much trouble and we booked to have David as a guide to Semuc Champey during our stay. Heavy rains might have dampened the experience but David was a wonderful guide, made the visit such fun and brought the whole experience alive.

Please please please do not wear sunscreen if you plan on getting in the water and bring a reusable bottle that you can refill to avoid buying more plastic which doesn't get recycled and ends up in landfills.

Beautiful place, but VERY hard to get to !!! 25km took 2 hours between Lanquin and Atitlan. Very bump.. the roads are better later. If they were improved, tourist dollars would flow. Lack of good comfortable hotels (no wifi, and in our case with kids, no electricity!!). But the pools are fantastic.

Very nice common area with good WiFi, comfy bed and nice room, secure parking. Good options for eating/drinking in the Hostel Restaurant. We did the Semuc Champey tour offered by the Hostel and it was great! Requires good physical fitness in the caves and to climb the view point!
The hotel is just 3 min from the entrance of Semuc Champey. The food that they prepared was excellent. The staff was very helpful and also talked English.
The hostel is basic but it is clean, there is nice a space to chill and the price is the best in Lanquin.
The owners are the best of the hostel, very nice people, they will help you with everything you need.
Moreover, it is compulsory to go to Semuc Champey with the excursion that they offer. It is very cheap and it is awesome. The guide is the son of the owners and it is very funny and very well organized.
The location was peaceful along the river. Nice family run style hotel We stayed in one of the rooms overlooking the river which was nice and private. The tour of Semuc Champey organised through the hotel was exceptional - the guide was amazing. If you're planning on staying here please organise with the hotel - hotel pickup with a full day of activities.
Lovely staff, Jerson at the front desk was incredible attentive and helpful, going the extra mile to make sure we had a great stay. We loved the vego tacos for dinner at the restaurant. The AC in the room was much appreciated after a hot day at semuc champey. Hotel is well located, close to town and easy to jump on the back of a van for a day trip to semuc
Location: it is a perfect base to explore Semuc Champey, just few minutes walking. The setting is amazing, with a great swimming pool available to guests (a Jacuzzi pool was also present, but broken when we were there). The structure offers bth hotel and hostels choice. The staff is very friendly and willing to help, there is a great vibe.
Really beautiful hostel, and I loved the dining area and the big communal tables. the staff were also incredibly kind! It was close to Semuc Champey and we tubed back from there which was really fun. of course the ride to the hotel from Lanquin is quite bumpy, but it’s to be expected in the middle of the jungle. The food was also INCREDIBLE! I loved the veggie options and the breakfasts were great too.
the hostel is amazing. it’s located in the hills of lanquin and close to the Nationalpark Semuc Champey. the food in the hostel is quite good and absolutely worth the money. they also have quite a lot of vegetarian options. the hostel organise tours to the Nationalpark and shuttles to every destination in Guatemala. the dorm is nice and you have a mosquito net. the infinity pool is amazing!
