We loved walking the old cobblestone streets with all alleyways, shops, restaurants, bars, & historical sites. It is easy to get around Rhodes Town, but it does take some getting used to. I would seek out restaurants that don't have hawkers calling out to all passersby. There are plenty of restaurants and bars that do not use this tactic.

The old town is really beautiful, and the new town is very pleasant as well. The down side is the thousands of visitors, so that the whole centre is totally touristy and it takes some searching to find cafes, restaurants and bars which are more relaxed. We stayed only two days before getting the ferry to Xalki, which was ideal for getting the flavour of the town.

Great Medieval town with a touch of Ancient Bysantine and Ottoman atmosphere. Probably the best medieval walls and moat you can visit in Southern Europe. Lots of restaurants in the Old Town and small craft shops. Beware the public buses to and from the airport - this is a nightmare of throngs trying to get on or off board with suitcases in the smallest buses without air-conditioning, while the driver chooses on whim whether to stop or not at the stops on the way. Take a taxi, their prices are fixed and quite acceptable.

Rhodes Town has some outstanding places to visit - the Jewish Museum and memorial; the Museum of Modern Art; the Aquarium; the Plaace of the Grand Master of the Knights Hospitallers; the Archaeological Museum. Wandering the streets of the Old Town is pretty mesmerising. Virtually every restaurant we visited - and we went to many - had wonderful Greek cuisine.
We stayed in the Old Town and went to the beach most days (the main beach area was about a 25 minute walk, which was fine to do in early June, provided one had hats, water and took advantage of shade en route. We also sometimes stopped in a cafe for a drink en route. The water in the sea in early June was the best I have encountered in my life. Heaven!

Great monuments, charming narrow streets, lots of flowers, excellent cuisine. But it's best to enjoy it all in the morning, before the crowds flood the streets, or late in the evening. In the city, I was most impressed by the Palace of the Grand Masters and a walk along the former moat between the walls.

Rhodes is a well kept town but is very busy during the day.
Rhodes is a well kept town but is very busy during the day. The archeology and the museums are the main attraction. The bus service is superb and within walking distance of the old town. The weather in May was hot at around 28° and at times quite humid.
The downside has to be the cobbled streets which are difficult to walk on.
Good location right in the center of Rhodes town and everything is in a waking distance: beach, restaurants, old town, marina where you can get a cruise. Also a quite quiet street, all the nightlife is a bit away from it.
Hotel staff is friendly and ready to help.
Pool is not big but okay to spend some time nearby.
Bed is comfortable and we had a good night sleep even though the soundproofing is poor.
Air conditioning is working well.
In general a good place to stay if you don’t plan to spend all your time at the hotel.
Saint Michel it’s a charming boutique hotel in the middle of old town Rhodes. It is close walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The owners Chris and Sergio are the absolute best! They are both very hospitable and charming. Chris picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry port. Chris is an excellent chef and prepared us fabulous meals. Sergio was kind enough to drive us to the post office in new town Rhodes. They both go out of their way to make sure their guests are taken care of.
There was nothing we didn't like. Fab place. Lovely people couldn't do enough for us.
Breakfast lovely and plentiful.
Hotel in the centre of Old Rhodes town, it is in the centre to see and do everthing. But it was so quiet on a side street that u had a Comfy sleep, and did not get disturbed.
Fridge in room. With water and some mythos. Nice touch. Plus coffee.
A great hair dryer that was handy.
The hotel is small. Quirky. Clean tidy. And you are made to feel very welcome.
We will come back.
Love the pool, the breakfast... very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. Easy to walk to Old Town. Nice bar.... We had stayed a few years ago and thought it was so great, we didn't even consider anywhere else this time. We normally love small, boutique type hotels, and OK... Best Western isn't that.... but it's SO EASY.... because you know it's just going to be exactly what you want. We use it as a stopover either to or from Symi.
Staff were very friendly and the layout of the hotel with the bar next to the pool was great. Good size apartment with pool view. Spacious. Good selection of food in restaurant. Shop next door which you could walk into from lobby. Pool table. Entertainment on Saturday night. Great location to walk into the old town by the sea. Close to fab restaurants. Quiet at night. Close to bus stop. Definitely recommend.
Excellent hotel ,very nice staff, Rich, delicious breakfast , dinner, all inclusive hotel , cocktails and a mini bar are also included in the price . Especially thanks to Paulien working at the reception. She was always smiling and helpful. She even helped organize an all-day trip to the island. The location is very good , close to the old town. The view is beautiful from the room, the sunset is fantastic .
This Hotel is an oasis in busy Rhodes Town. Our room was clean and compact, with good views of the waterfront and day trip port area. Fridge while small kept everything cold. Responsive air-conditioning helped us stay cool. Family friendly hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast included freshly baked spinach pie and pastries. Hotel is in the shopping precinct. Be ready to shop.
We were very happy with this Rhodes Town hotel. The room was nice with a good balcony and view. It's in the hotel-, restaurant-, shops-area of the New Town but had a leafy outlook and nice walk to the tip of Rhodes. The staff were friendly and accommodating and met our needs well. We loved the pool and the breakfast. 10 min walk to Old Town.
Lovely no frills hotel near the historic centre of Rhodes and near to shops and good restaurants.Breakfast was good with lots of choice.Room was small but i had balcony which gave more space.Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is very good value for money for its location in centre of Rhodes town
A delightful hotel in Rhodes old town. The manager Theo was extremely welcoming and accommodating, recommending local restaurants to try and sights to see. The location was perfect for exploring the ancient sights of Rhodes and the delicious home cooked breakfast set us up for our days of exploring.
This was the most beautiful Boutique Hotel right in the middle of a very busy Rhodes town but it’s location is quiet.
Absolutely spotless - swimming pool fantastic - as for the staff they must all receive gold awards for their exceptional attention to the well being of their guests especially Lucy.
Big room, very clean, with a very comfortable bed. Nice balcony, with sea view. The staff is polite and helpful. The breakfast is good. It is not a 4 star hotel, but it has a perfect location, (just on the beach, 15 min walk to the old town) and the price we have payed was good.
Stunning property that combines the best of both worlds in old town with modern facilities. The staff, Susan, Rosa and Toula will do everything it takes to make sure your stay is top notch. This is a gem of a hotel and do not look any further. Greek hospitality at its best.
Location right in old town Rhodes. The staff are very communicative and helpful. They upgraded our room while we were there!
Great rooftop terrace and lower courtyard also. Rooms have a nice old-style decor that is fitting for the area. Kettle in room is helpful.
Location, clear direction and attentive host, adequate facilities, privacy and lovely roof top area! We were right in the centre of old town and this is a perfect place to base for a fee days in Rhodes. We recommend to consider this place when visiting Rhodes.
Great hotel with 5star standard. Breakfast was really the best we have encountered in Greece. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Location is very good with a nice beach in front and 15mins walk from old town. To sum up.... we will come again!
Clean and spacious rooms - true to the photos. The included buffet breakfast was great.
Hotel is well located in Rhodes Town and we could walk to the Old Town, Beach & Harbour.
This boutique hotel is a hidden gem in the little streets of old Rhodes town. Nikitas was beyond helpful and gracious with all our needs. Looking forward to visiting again 😍
