It takes around 15-20 mins to walk up on a steep hill to the monument, so if you don’t feel up to it, take the shuttle bus, they are quite frequent.
Once inside, the 246 steps on the very narrow stone staircase are tough.

We visited first thing in the morning and walked up to the monument before the ticket office was open at the bottom. Was well worth it. We bought tickets at the top and were the first up the monument. Went straight to the top and had the outstanding views all to ourselves...! Fabulous experience!!

The monument was a wonderful surprise.
The monument was a wonderful surprise. There is a shuttle to the base of the monument which is a hike to get too. Take the shuttle unless you really want exercise because climbing the monument involves three levels of twisty stairs and 243 0r so steps. The views are spectacular.

Excellent monument to go and see ,we only stopped to take photographs as passing ,then found that a FREE minibus is offered to take visitors up the hill to the monument its self,very useful for those if us who couldn't make the walk .10/10

We arrived late in the day so didn’t get to visit inside the monument. However we did walk up from the car park to the monument, along the beautiful woodland walk. The walk is fairly steep and if you have any difficulties use the minibus.

Very informative.
Very informative. Essentially just a tower but plenty of info about Wallace. Steep and narrow staircase might be a problem with unfit visitors. The view from the top is worth the effort. Recommend getting the frequent free shuttle bus to the tower from the car park below

Near the tourist sights in Stirling with access to swimming pool and gymnasium.
During the day it was an easy drive to the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle.
We had an evening meal in the bar restaurant each night of our 2 night stay. Lovely food and friendly waitresses. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel's location is great for visiting the Wallace Monument and for trips into the centre of Stirling.
Nice spacious apartment with everything you need. Located perfectly to go into the city, the Old Town, Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument ….
Christine was a lovely host and it was easy to communicate with her.
Location was very close to Stirling centre and also the Wallace monument. So easy to find and good parking. The flat had everything you would need with sky tv and very comfortable made it a very relaxing stay.

The place is super quiet, yet very close to one of the most interesting attractions in Stirling, the Wallace monument. It is also 2 minutes walk from a wonderful restaurant. The B&B is super clean, comfortable beds, great shower. Owner very helpful and communicative. Will come again!
The guest house was ideal for us close to restaurants and the william wallace monument. Richard who runs the guest was very helpful polite and friendly and the breakfast was lovely the room was ideal and comfortable
Excellent host and welcome from Jess. Amazing views of both the Castle and Wallace Monument from the apartment. 5m in walk to the train station. Travelling by car is also easy as car parking is right outside. Lift access to 3rd floor and the apartment is the only apartment on this floor. Well appointed kitchen and two bathrooms both en-suite. V clean with all mod cons. Highly secure with key fob entrance. We will stay again.

5 minute walk to Sainsbury and about 15 minutes to the city centre , so very central.
