I thought I was going to end up in yet another dormitory, but not at all. We were staying in what were clearly university rooms. For less than the price of a bed in a dormitory, you get a room with a double bed and a private bathroom. The setting is magnificent, the University of Stirling is surrounded by greenery and even has a small shopping centre just a 5-minute walk away. The leiu is extremely peaceful and welcoming, although a car is essential.
