The property was lovely and clean, the room was spacious and well decorated. The shower was fantastic after I worked out the settings. My only complaint, was the room was too hot, there was no air conditioning or fan, this led to a night of tossing and turning. The room next to us , their TV must be right opposite our TV, because we could hear it most of the night. If these little things could be fixed, then I would certainly be back

This is found in a lovely location on Strangford Lough in a very quiet rural area. We booked last minute and we very pleased at our warm reception from Terry. The breakfast was excellent and we hope to return.
A great location, with absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay. Really relaxing. We used it for a Strangford Lough visit but it is really convenient for Belfast too.
This was our second visit to the Old Schoolhouse. Terry and Avril are super hosts, could not be more helpful. The breakfasts were huge and kept us going all day. The location is excellent, quiet and very close to Strangford Lough, with lots of nature and set in a lovely landscape. Belfast is only a short drive away too.
My second stay here and everything you want in a rural B&B is here. Comfortable clean room, excellent breakfast and obliging hosts. This is a part of the world that more should know about. BBC Springwatch put nearby Castle Espie on the map and this is the perfect base to take it and the Strangford Lough region in.
