Hotel Ceilidh-Donia, hotel in Edinburgh

This small, family-run metro hotel has easy access by bus to Edinburgh city centre, less than 2 miles away. It offers free on-street parking, free WiFi, en-suite rooms and a bar.

We really liked the seating area by the bar with lots of books about Scotland and a comfortable sofa to read on. Kelly kept us supplied with drinks and conversation, when desired. The room was a good size and equipped with reading lamps and kettle. While South Edinburg is not a premium neighbourhood, there were good restaurants within easy walking distance and the hotel is on a pretty side street.
