We were on the 4th floor.Sea view room. It was perfect. Bathroom was spotless.We had dinner in the bar each evening and was gorgeous and very reasonable more than enough.The bar staff were very friendly and the people cleaning the rooms were very good.Location was great walking distance to everything. In other reviews people complained about the lift.Well I have to say we were there for 6 days and we were not left waiting. Would go back there in a heart beat.Thank you to all in The Empress Hotel for making our holiday such a happy event.

It was a surprise once you walked in as it looked just average from the outside. It was very well situated for buses and the town centre. And the staff were amazing: friendly, helpful and efficient.

Rooms were lovely and everything we needed was there
Ideally situated on the seafront in Douglas, this hotel features comfortable en suite accommodation with a full range of modern facilities and in-room accessories.
Good breakfast selection staff very helpful and understanding
Location was fab and views from the property were delightful, beds were extremely comfortable. Overall property size and layout were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and visit to IOM, shops within walking distance. Lots to do with children, Castle Rushen worth a visit. Overall I would recommend this property and we would like to return at some point.
The hotel had a central location overlooking Castle Rushen and offered free parking to visitors. There was a large eating area in the bar, the food was nice and was clean and tidy.
