Castlecary House Hotel, hotel in Falkirk

In a country village, the Castlecary House Hotel is 4 minutes from Cumbernauld Airport, 15 minutes from Stirling and 30 minutes from Glasgow. It offers home-cooked food, real ales and malt whiskies.

We chose this hotel because it was close to Sterling and was more affordable than a hotel in Sterling proper. We liked the room, though we are not disabled, we were given one. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. We liked that a restaurant was attached to the hotel, very important because there are almost no dining options available close to the hotel. We also liked the free parking adjacent to the hotel, a rarity in Scotland where parking is very limited and almost at a cost. Breakfast was very nice and copious.

Really useful location in a beautiful castle, located conveniently close to the main road but far away enough to be quiet! I loved the decor and all the little touches in the room. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend it.

Fantastic facilities in a quaint and cosy setting. The staff are extremely helpful and obliging with any queries and the welcome pack and information pack were brilliant. A great location to stay when exploring the wonderful sights of Falkirk as we did (Kelpies, Callendar House and the Falkirk wheel). Loved having a hot tub, which was a real bonus to relax in. can’t wait to go back!
