I'm loved the fixtures and different sections where you can worship. What a beautiful place to worship the lord. Awesome structure so sad it was burned. Glad I had the opportunity to experience it before it was destroyed.

We visit Notre Dame every visit.
We visit Notre Dame every visit. Last visit we were able to sit and enjoy a mass. Another time, we heard an organ recital. The peace and tranquility of the place can not be matched. We pray that it is rebuild soon!

I have mixed feelings about this historic Cathedral.
I have mixed feelings about this historic Cathedral. Sadness that the towers have been lost due to fire but it still stands proud and you can still see the beautiful windows and original structure of Notre Dame. I suppose it is a miracle that there was not more damage. I feel it is an integral monument in Paris to visit. I pray that Notre Dame will be around for all future generations to enjoy.

I was sad to see Notre-Dame after the fire.
I was sad to see Notre-Dame after the fire. I used to go to Notre Dame for mass and devotions. Not being able to do so was quite a letdown for me. Let's hope that I will be able to do so again in my lifetime!

All we can say about this is that we are so glad we saw it before it burned. The 13 year old was excited more after the fact knowing that he saw it before they had to rebuild again. Beautiful place.

At the moment it is not possible to get as close to this important icon of both Paris and Christianity but it is still-and perhaps even more do - a pilgrimage that must be undertaken if one finds one’s self in the city.

Room was clean and had a kettle, fridge, microwave, free wifi and table (though rather small) with two chairs. Handwash was provided in (private ensuite) bathroom and a usefully wide basin.
Hotel conveniently situated a short walk from Voltaire Metro and a reasonable walk to Bastille area (or even Notre Dame area for the energetic). Local area seemed safe and there is a small Auchan supermarket near the Metro.
We enjoyed our stay at Appartement Notre Dame and were impressed with how quiet it was for sleeping. Having the blackout shades in the bedroom was a real plus. Other reviews describe the apartment nicely and we found it quite large for a Paris flat. We followed a tip that a friend gave us. Don't use the Metro to get around, use the bus because you can see more and that is very true. We would highly recommend this place, especially to first-time visitors to Paris who can take advantage of all that the owner has to offer.
This is a small hotel in a great location on the Left Bank, about a 5 minute walk from the Seine and Notre Dame. The staff was wonderful, our room was just as described, even with a little balcony! A very comfortable stay in a great location. It's a little old-school in the sense that we dropped our room key at the desk when we left the building and retrieved it when we returned, but it made it simple--we never worried about a lost key! Also check out the Basque restaurant next door!
The hotel is located in a beautiful district - minutes away from Notre Dame and all the major attractions in the center, in the beautiful Latin Quarter. Two metro stations nearby, easy to walk anywhere. The room was clean and had everything you might need - loved the complimentary kettle with coffee/tea/ etc. The view from my room - 6th floor - was fantastic! The bed was comfy and Wifi worked perfectly. The staff was very nice and friendly.
We walked to the hotel from the St. Michel metro exit. It took about 8 minutes. We walked to Notre Dame and St. Chappelle; 10 minutes. Perfect location. The rooms I reserved were pretty small but that’s ok-we were in Paris for 1 day between flights. Comfy, clean.
The most significant advantage about the hotel is definitely its excellent location. It's within walking distance to two different metro stations and also situated right in the heart of the city. I was easily able to reach many tourist attractions such as Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre Museum on foot.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They offer complimentary laundry service where you can wash and dry your clothes for free.
The Hotel du Vieux Paris was the perfect stay for our first time in Paris. It is situated right in the center of the city, an amazing location within very short walking distance to the bus stop, metro, amazing bakeries, and the city center main sites (St Chapelle, Notre Dame, etc). The staff was so welcoming, helpful and kind. Great bathroom and perfect room for our 4 days in Paris. Would absolutely recommend.
Excellent location, closest hostel I could find to the center of Paris (Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame), a couple of minutes walk to the line 6 metro. Very clean, bunks had curtains for more privacy.
The rooms were really comfortable and I loved the design of the rooms and bathrooms. It was super clean and although not very spacious I think it wasn't bad for Paris. The beds were really comfortable too and the rooms had everything we needed. The location was also pretty good since it is right near the Notre Dame and around 5 mins walk from the subway. There were lots of restaurants and bakeries nearby so it was easy to find food near the hotel. Overall a really great hotel!
Louvre, Pantheon, Notre Dame, Toulieres, and many other places are close to the hotel by walking. Your experience in Paris will be the best. And the shower at this hotel was the best in my life. There are many metro/train stations close to the hotel which makes it easy for you move to anywhere in Paris. I could move easily to the Eiffel Tower or other places. There are a lot of restaurants, pharmacies, markets, and everything close to the hotel.

We found that the most crowded places were the Notre Dame church and the Champs-Elysees (specially on the blocks nearest the Arc)
Keep in mind this is Paris, crowds are a necessary evil. However, some spots are worse than others. We found that the most crowded places were the Notre Dame church and the Champs-Elysees (specially on the blocks nearest the Arc). For us, the jewel of the city is without doubt the Eiffel Tower, and luckily its gardens are so wide that the crowds end up spreading enough so that everyone has enough space, even for picnics (going up the tower is an entirely different matter, though!). Also, strolling the streets and parks can be less crowded, you just have to avoid the main streets near the main landmarks. Try the Luxembourg Garden or the Saint-Germain-des-Pres neighborhood.
