Excellent value for money. Supermarkets (Lidl, Aldi, Mercadona) nearby. Easy walk into town. Ample parking beside the hotel. Easy arrival by car and good for trips to surrounding towns. Close to bus and train stations though we didn't use them. Good breakfast.
Only 4 minutes' walk from Ávila Cathedral, Hotel Las Leyendas is set in the old town. It is a charming and sympathetically converted manor house that dates back to the 16th century.

When viewed against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains, Ávila is truly a spectacular sight. Its fully intact walls rise majestically from a hill, and the many semi-circular towers and 9 gates give it added character. Begun in the 11th century, these incredible fortifications are the symbol of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed city.
Partly built into the walls are the rather fortress-like cathedral and the Convent of Saint Teresa, erected in honour of the saint whose childhood was spent in a house on the same spot. Her relics are here, making it a popular pilgrimage spot. The city’s biggest festival is also in her honour and includes a colourful parade, fireworks and fights in the bullring.
Teresa entered the Incarnation Convent in Ávila, but found herself at odds with the practices, so founded a new monastery: the Convent of Saint Joseph. Of the city’s other religious structures, the Royal Monastery of Saint Thomas is particularly of note as it contains the tomb of Don Juan, son of King Fernando.
Other Ávila sights include the Torreón de los Guzmanes - a tower attached to the provincial council headquarters – and the Four Columns monument which offers fabulous city views.
The Ávila accommodation on Booking.com includes boutique hotels, traditional guest houses and cheap apartments near the train station.

Spent three nights at Le Vintage over Palm Sunday weekend and was glad I did. Avila is an historic, walled town and best not rushed through on a day trip from Madrid. Le Vintage was the PERFECT location with my room facing the street so I got to see all of the action/processions on the Saturday before Palm Sunday and then again on Holy Monday.

Impressive walls are surrounding the city and invite for a nice walk.
April seems the right moment to visit it. In summertime it may get very hot. The Sofraga Palacio Hotel is the best option to stay we think.

Avila is quite nice for sightseeing.
Avila is quite nice for sightseeing. My problem is with the food industry. We are vegan and the options for us to eat were poor at best. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The food represented as vegan to us was very poor quality, even at nicer restauraunts.

There is almost 2 miles of beautiful ancient city walls holding many interesting old residential structures accessible by small hilly alleys. As the streets are hilly so tourists need to have some comfortable walking shoes to explore the surrounding.

Just a nice beautiful walled medieval town with great charm...
Just a nice beautiful walled medieval town with great charm good food /tapa and we found a couple of nice bars and restaurants .Everything within walking distance. Not crowded and staff where ever we went were great.
The location was great -inside the walled city and within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, monuments, and beautiful plazas.
The staff at the hotel were super welcoming and kind. A special mention goes to Pilar, who checked us in - great customer service. The restaurant next door has good food at very reasonable prices, and the wait staff was also very accommodating and helpful.
There is paid parking nearby and the area is very safe. We will definitely stay at this hotel on our next visit to Ávila.
The staff speaks English (finally somebody), despite late hour of our arrival they were kind. Organization of accommodation was perfect - we did online check-in and received code to our room. Bed comfortable, bathroom great, everything clean a now-looking. Hotel like middle-age palace style, surrounded by city walls in Avila. Parking is not so easy in close surrounding, but in walking distance (10 min) we found some public parking.
The hotel is very conveniently located just a block from the train station. The rooms are very spacious, as is a very cheerful Lobby room. There is an all the supermarket just two blocks away from the hotel. Everything at the hotel was very spiffy. The staff was very helpful about giving me information about various buses to various Avila locations. And the bus stop is right outside of the hotel.
Really lovely little hotel. Great parking in the owners garage for our motorbikes. Hotel is clean and comfy. The major plus about this hotel is its location! Right on the walls of the walled city of Avila. This place is a hidden gem. Its stunningly beautiful and the people couldn't do enough for you. Had the best two days there and we will definitely return.
Thank you so much for a lovely stay.
A lovely hotel in the heart of Avila. A stones throw from restaurants and the attractions. The room was of a generous size with all amenities. The bathroom was massive! The breakfast was a hot & cold buffet with an excellent selection, and the staff were accommodating with extra items supplied from the kitchen should you need them.
Private secure parking was available which was perfect for us.
Benedicto is the best host you could dream of. Friendly, helpful, he welcomed us with a bottle of wine, bread, croissants and a few bottles of water. The location is just perfect, in the very centre of the town, and the garage is situated a few steps from the entrance to the building (and it is big which is not very common in Spain). The beds were very comfortable.
Superb hotel. Great location. lovely room. Clean. Lovely bathroom. Comfy bed. Superb a la carte breakfast . All prepared freshly. Waiter service. Spot on!! Motorbike parked safely at entrance to car park for free . Gate shut at night. Air con in room. Slept well. Situated within the city walls. Easy to get to all of the city. avila is an interesting place.
Very nice place with a beautiful view of Avila. About a 15-minute walk away from the town walls. Nice restaurant and cafe with reasonable prices. The room was very comfortable and warm. No noise. Comfortable beds and large bathroom.
There is a lift for the upper floors. You can park outside the hotel for free.
We have asked for a quiet room and ist was as quiet as at home. Excelent. The hotel is elegant and very interesting with the old walls of the city included in the architecture of the hotel. Very good tee and coffe in the room. The car parking was very confortable. Thank you very much!
Avila has a beautiful old town well worth visiting. The romanesque/ gothic cathedral is a masterpiece. We enjoyed the warren of medieval streets and atmosphere withing the old town walls. Definitely deserves its designation as a UNESCO world heritage site.
This was the best accommodation that we stayed in during our 20 days trip to Spain. The house was clean and the hosts were so accommodating to our needs. The interior details of the apartment were so nice. We loved everything about our stay in Avila.
Well presented hotel, lovely room. Only 150 metres from parking and the Citadel of Avila. Very friendly and helpful staff. Has its own restaurant. Historical building with original features. Definitely recommend as an ideal place to stay in Avila.
Beautiful old building where the center courtyard was converted into the hotel restaurant. We were able to walk to the main monuments of the city including the ancient walls that surround the City of Ávila, Spain.
Wonderful location inside the walled city of Avila. Modern, clean and convenient. Very friendly staff. Lovely boutique hotel. I would highly recommend.
Wonderful pizza restaurant.
In the outskirts of Ávila but well located to have a magnificient view of Ávilas Walls. A footwalk into Ávila is just minutes away. Hotel is clean and firm absolutely good enough.
The location was great and the hotel was historic and authentic. The dining area was a former patio so they were rooms that looked down on it. Very quaint, very nice.
Great communication, cordial staff, and clean room and property. Had a wonderful dinner at Alcaravea Casa de Comidas which is right across from the hotel.
