Comfortable, clean, large room, great view, a walkable distance to town, Cathedral. Breakfast fantastic (one reason I chose this hotel from the photo of the breakfast). You can eat in or outside depending on our preferance. I didn't realise that I'd booked a city view room and although the room and new bathroom were lovely, I asked (before touching anything in the room) if possibleto move to a sea view . The receptionist was helpful and I got an "super good room" with an amazing view for only about 15 euros more. There is of course trafic noise as it's on harbour where the road goes by but that's expected as there is a road. My room was set back in the middle of the block which made the noise when windows were shut something that was ignorable. The hop-on hop off tourist bus is just across the road (and to the right). The was currently some road widening and improvements on the road so if you visit some months later than this post it will probably make the area even nicer.

The hotel is relatively easy to get to from the airport on the airport bus “A1” close to the last stop coming from the airport and the first stop for returning. On leaving the bus turn right and walk about 100 m along the pavement with water drainage on your right and cross over the first bridge over it. The hotel is about 30 m along the road facing the bridge where it is sited next to a large police station and so the area feels safe.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a wide choice and was good value - setting you up for the day.

The location of the hotel was excellent. The room was just the right size and very clean. The staff were friendly and very welcoming . It was my birthday while there and the hotel left a bottle of fizz and a card in our room when we were out for the day. It was a lovely gesture which made my day

There were no specific good aspects about the property. It is close to Caja Major beach, but nothing really exciting besides that.

We love the historic old town and shops, bars and restaurants. The promenade next to the marina and porta Pi shopping centre. the Block house restaurant was excellent here. The went on the scenic train to Soller and then the tram to the coast which were blown away by. We could have stayed there much longer with lots of nice restaurants

We stayed in the old town . Easy walking distance to several other areas . Lovely restaurants close by . Took the train to Soller then the tram to Port de Soller . Both well worth the visit . Seller is very quaint , lots of small independent shops to browse & restaurants around the main square . The port area is beautiful

Palma is lovely for a short break, airport is 15 mins on the bus to the city centre. Where we stayed was about a 12 minute walk in all directions to every landmark and the harbour.
Food, drink and transport is a good price. Would recommend Barca Samba boat trip. So many shops to browse and lots of lovely streets for pictures.
Beautiful and will be back.

A small town dominated by the spectacular cathedral but lots of interesting things to do. Just walking around the streets you find something to look at , photograph .admire or to enter a shop. It was a wonderful experience in late February - warm but perfect for a city break. So many nice restaurants & the standard of English was amazing. High end shopping & art shops a plenty - between the restaurants & the shopping -your credit card will be hot. A delightful trip & much better than I expected.

The old town Palma is full of interesting historical sites plenty of gardens to chill in . Seems to have lost its Spanish identity in the tapas bars and restaurants though caters mostly European menu not Spanish you have to search hard for traditional food.

The place was in a really good spot and right on the beach .
They fed you adequately, but you know it is like hotel buffet food . That being said, there was really a great effort to provide a huge variety and you won’t go hungry for sure ! The staff was also really really great. The dining room staff were so on top of it and friendly and really worked hard . I read reviews about the cleaning staff not being on top of it but that must have been amended because these ladies were definitely on top of it .
- The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, loved the overall set up of the room
- Staff we’re friendly and super helpful and took their covid measures seriously
- The way the hotel was decorated was wonderful
- Breakfast was super filling and they had a wide variety of options
- Loved the different cocktail of the day at the bar (€5)
- Location was conveniently located near some of the best restaurants/bars in Old Town
Do not let the exterior or the understated hotel entry deceive you. This hotel is luxurious, well appointed with attentive and gracious staff and hosts. Jacoba, Thomas and Ana made every attempt to ensure that our trip to Mallorca was an excellent one. The rooftop pool and restaurant/bar are amazing, along with an incredible spa. We cannot thank all of the staff enough for catering to our every need. We shall return.
The HM Balanguera hotel is nice but wasn’t a four stars hotel for us. It’s an intimate boutique style hotel, graciously done. The staff was friendly and helpful, hiring the bikes from the hotel is one of the best things we did, but you need to book in advance, they have only four. The roof terrace with a small pool is very nice but it is a tiny space, sometimes it could be too busy, just enough for five rooms or so.
it's a great location - just in center of all touristic attractions and restaurants streets, with some great restaurants just in front of the hotel. From the rooftop terrace you also can enjoy an amazing veiw of the city. One of the best things about the hotel - fantastic personnel! They are super friendly and super helpful! The team went above and beyond helping us to have great time in Mallorca.
Good location in the city of Palma. Nice view from balcony over the city and the harbor. Breakfast was okey, not the best but okey according to Spanish standards. Pool was great. Very calm pool area, we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. Easy to get taxi outside of the street and close to both Cala Mayor and Bendinat beach. Rooms was very clean beds comfy. Great location, walking distance to bars, restaurants and the cathedral. The staff are fantastic, they can’t do enough for you. The service was impeccable. This hotel might not be located in the top location of Palma, but it gives a good opportunity to find yourself in good distance between the old town and the best nearby beach of Cala Maior. The building itself seen from the outside takes you back to the 80's but the interior is very nice and the rooms are big and modern
The hotel is beautiful- a gorgeously renovated old Spanish building. We loved our room with a terrace- it was great for sunbathing. The staff are all incredible- so helpful, they organised taxis and a moped for us and also gave so many fantastic recommendations. Breakfast is also really tasty. A fantastic stay
The hotel was just a few steps away from the beach! The beach gets crowded but that seems to be the case anywhere in Mallorca. It was also close to the bus stop which was convenient. The room was simple, but comfortable and clean. Overall it was a good value for money.
