Located just off the A2 Motorway, this hotel is 15 minutes’ drive from central Madrid. The air-conditioned rooms at the Meliá Avenida América feature modern décor.

We had 2 rooms booked for 4 people. The twin room was spacious and had a big window with a lot of light. The queen room was much smaller and had a tiny window placed high near the ceiling so it felt dark and confined (room 344). Both rooms were newly renovated and had luxurious bedding and towels. The shuttle for the airport was very convenient to the airport. For food, we walked 20 min to an area which had lots of restaurants and stores. Note that this hotel is far from the center of Madrid so you will need to take the bus or taxi to go there. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and cost 20 euros per person.
