Estepona has excellent clean beaches, high standard of local restaurants for a full meal, tapas, or snacks.
Our favourites are: Alma de Miguel (also known as Taverna Miguel), La Casa del Rey, El Pescador and others.
The town is kept beautifully by the local council with flower arrangements everywhere and great architectural cacti gardens.

Estepona is a vibrant town, with an old town quarter which is very picturesque and charming. The rest of town is also very pleasant to walk through with plenty of brilliant restaurants and quality shops. The promenade is extensive and covers the whole of the town from end to end with a beach which is well used by tourists and locals alike. There is building work going on updating old houses and replacing roads/walkways plus a new hotel or two but does not detract too much. As you walk around the newer areas fabulous murals are on some iof the buildings which are fun and interesting. A port area /marina with again good fish / seafood restaurants and a weekly market on Sundays. It’s really a great place for eating out, stopping for a coffee/drink and people watching, catching the sun.

Estepona had some positives plenty of bar and restaurants to suit all tastes.
Has a development project going on which isn't the best when on holiday to be covered in clouds of dust and in some areas unsafe underfoot
It had no soul to it unlike other resorts in Spain
not enough Taxi stands in the town
Nerja is a much nicer resort

Everything was great especially Plaza de Flores.
Everything was great especially Plaza de Flores. We could sit here all day everyday. The seafront and the the flowers everywhere were amazing. The council guys were out every morning from about 7pm sweeping the beach and preparing it for the day. Most importantly, everything is affordable, even the most expensive bars and restaurants . Beer and wine about 2.50 - 3.00€. And even more important is that every where you go everyone is very friendly.

Loved the traditional street architecture, layout and appearance of the old town--a nice escape from the resort style accommodation. Easy access to the front promenade and the excellent sandy beaches--ideal for children and adults alike.
Loved the range of bars/restaurants and cafes--something for everyone-styles and price range.
Our hosts made us feel like a treasured member of the family, very welcoming and caring, before and during our stay. The house is lovely and the breakfasts, made especially for you, were fabulous. Our hosts put themselves out in many waus, for example, letting us have use of the washing machine.
The rooms are in old Estepona, in a quiet, peaceful and picturesque back square, just 100m from the sea, and conveniently close to the old town centre where all the best cafes bars and shops are.
Great location, design, decor and facilities. Very clean bright and modern whilst keeping its original traditional charm. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Four restaurants and an English style pub located within the hotel. Very best restaurants, cafe’s, tapas bars and shops within steps of the hotel. Beautiful beach just a few minutes walk. Probably the best location in the old part of ESTEPONA.
The hotel is well situated in the old town.
There was a space for mum to park a mobility scooter and the lifts were always working.
We had 2 rooms with a connecting door which was lovely.
Good choice of restaurants at the hotel as well as nearby in the town.
The staff were excellent, helpful, courteous and made our stay very special. They were very thoughtful and treated us like one of the family.
Beautiful boutique hotel in a great old town location. Spotlessly clean and very, very helpful owner, who allowed us to check-in early but to also avail (for free) of a 4 oclock check out. We upgraded for minimum cost to a suite, which was lovely and great value.
The hotel is within walking distance of the town, the beach and the port area. Would definitely recommend this gorgeous hotel.
Perfect location right across the street from the beach and steps from dozens of restaurants and the old town. The staff were all very helpful and kind. Bathroom in my single room was surprisingly big and modern. Very comfortable room in the perfect location. There was a free local parking lot a few blocks up the street or you could pay for underground parking right by the hotel.
The pool was lovely and the breakfast was probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had anywhere. Maids were great to always get the room cleaned on time also. It was nice for us because we wanted to visit Estepona, Marbella and Puerto Banus so it sits kind of in the middle of all 3 places! We used to get ubers which were a bit pricey or the bus which was only €2.
The apartment is really well situated at the port. Easy access to the beach and a 10 to 15 minute walk to the old town of Estepona. Eva met us on arrival. The apartment is nicely furnished, the bed is very comfortable and everything was very clean. It exceeded our expectations. Eva has put a lot of thought into providing everything you would need for a great holiday.
Very clean modern apartment, amazing view, friendly & helpful hosts who accomodated late check in and check out which was very nice of them, very nice design inside and in a fantastic location, just a few minutes walk to marina, beach, shops, restaurants and around 25 minute walk to Estepona old town or few minutes in taxi. The pool was fantastic!
Comfort was great. Huge apartment. Nice facilities. Great pool. Nice shop with nice breakfast and nice pool bar.
About 1 km walk to old town and beach which we didn’t mind but in case you do we saw a lot of people using taxis. Estepona was great location for day trips to Ronda, Setenil de las Bodegas, Morocco, Gibraltar
Excellent location, extremely close to the Marina and an enjoyable 15 min walk along the promenade to the old town. No need for transport if you are happy to walk. Amenities and restaurants plentiful for all tastes. The property benefits from the morning sunshine and view of the sea from the balcony.
This place is amazing, spotlessly clean, the staff feel genuine, friendly and attentive. Everything about this hotel and our stay was perfect. The images on the website don't even do it justice, you need to visit to experience this hotel.
Thank you
Staff were remarkable. Maria a delight and Angel went way above and beyond extraordinary service mapping out our car trip to Malaga with restaurant suggestions along the way! Wonderful:)
Highest quality 5 stars breakfast and staff !!! Amazing interior and library. I was surprised about the detective :) and I loved it ! Great idea ! Very clean! Definitely coming back!
