To all the travelers and explores who desire to have a Magical experience in an enchanted land:
When I was searching for a place to stay in Candelario and I found this Beautiful House, It was very important for me this trip because I was bringing for first time my son ( 15 y.) and my daughter (16y) to the land where I grow up!!!!
Yes!!! I was born in Béjar(a town 10 min. away)52 years ago and gone from there to Madrid 38years ago. I was blessed to meet my husband ( Who is from US) in airplane from Madrid to Los Angeles 20 years ago, the day of my 32 birthday and I never went back to live in Spain. Since then we have lived in various places: From California ( Orange County ) we moved to England ( Where our children where born), back to US in Pittsburgh, PA for 4 years, then Beijing( China) for 6 years, then 2 years back in our home in Pittsburgh, the last 3 years we have been blessed living in Crestone, CO and Since April in Santa Fe, NM. Thank you for your pacience listening about our personal life even though I believed that It is important for you to have more certainty about my criteria and evaluation that follow......
Since I first contacted the Owner ( Beautiful Fermi) and Host with the interest to stay in CASA REBONITA ( Which means Re-Beautiful House in Spanish and I would say what a perfect Name for the space as it's even more Wonderful & Magnificent as you can imagine from the picks) everything was just flown so smooth. Her kindness and wiliness to assist us at all times has been impeccable. Her Tenderness and understanding of my late arrival for motives that not concerned to this evaluation has been exceptional.
Her assistance lady, who was expecting us at the arrival was very kind, even I delated 3 times that arrival. Fermi & her husband were in town that long weekend and he was so kind also to come all the way to the higher part of Candelario where the house in located to explain me about how the stove work .
Sorry!No more space..
A recently renovated apartment, APARTAMENTO TURISTICO EL CANALIZO offers accommodations in Candelario. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking, and free Wifi.
A hidden gem in the Salamanca province. One of the most beautiful villages we have ever seen in Spain. So spotlessly clean, so nicely-kept and we particularly liked that it was not full of souvenir shops.

It is a beautiful village in a wonderful environment and stunning scenery . Very much worth a whole weekend stay for some hiking and visiting the surroundings. Good restaurants: we went to Casa Küme, which was very good but I know that Posada de Candelario, where we were staying, has a good resturant too.
Wonderful short break in this beautiful property of two and a half centuries old! The bedroom was very tastefully decorated with a lovely view from the balcony. The breakfast deserves a special mention as included were some delicious cakes, homemade by the wonderfully friendly Alicia. She told us the rural hotel was her life, and it shows!! Will return if we are ever back in the area!
The town was a revelation, tiny cobbled streets and beautiful old buildings. The hotel is a charming period property nearly at the topmost part of the village. Need your witts about you to find. Municipal car park at the top. Very dog friendly.
Anna the owner is very welcoming. Explained the reason why at this moment there are no restaurant service in the hotel but gave us alternatives. Made a reduction in our payment to allow for the provision of breakfast.
We liked the warm welcome and the hospitality. Small charming, rural, rustic hotel. I would describe the decor as shabby chic, and that's meant to be a complement. Perfectly suited to the village it is in.
This is a lovely location and hotel was excellent after a long drive from Santander on our way to Portugal we also used it on our way back to Santander
