It was a great experience all around. The hotel was excellent, with a view overlooking the Nile. The food options were great. We tried both the Thai and Italian restaurant and both were excellent. The coffee was the best we had in Egypt, which is very important!
Also, and most importantly, if you are going to Egypt, you must do Luxor. In my opinion, it has more to offer than Giza.

Lovely style and feeling to the place. Good tasty food. Plenty of breakfast. Pool great in the heat. Great free boat service to the other bank. Trips easily organised through reception. Transfer to airport, balloon rides, taxi round the sights. All great. Great advice from Dr Marina the resident owner.

Very large temple.
Very large temple. Quite difficult to understand what it is that you are seeing as there are so many rulers with difficult names. We were travelling independently but we did notice that the groups were ferried in and out at extraordinary speed. A factory production line.

Unmisable. Huge. Awesome. Allow time to wander about at your own pace. Also, be aware that there is a great little cafe on the far side of the temple, next to the sacred lake. Perfect for a pit stop and to recover from the heat :)

We allowed ourselves 2 hours, thinking this would be enough...
We allowed ourselves 2 hours, thinking this would be enough time to see Karnak. Wrong! Get there early to avoid the heat and majority of tourists, and simply wander. There is a small Cafe which is reasonably priced beside the Sacred Lake, and a good halfway stopping point.

The ambience and traditional look of the property is a highlight. Also, it is so close to luxor temple and karnak temple by walking distance.
The view from the terrace restaurant of the hotel is also exceptional.
Great hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. The location is ideal for exploring Luxor and Karnak temple. The hotel are also very helpful in exploring further afield and have a great restaurant on the terrace. Couldn't recommend a stay here more if you are in Luxor.
The hotel is located near to the Luxor Palace and right above the Sphinx roar connecting the Luxor Palace and the Karnak Temple. It has excellent view on Nile river and Hatshepsut Temple. You can enjoy balloons flying over the Nile every morning. Breakfast is good and personnel always ready to help. Restoran on the roof has amazing view and there is even swimming pool on the roof (but we didn't have chance to use it. Condition in the room working good. Taxi drivers near the Hotel can be really disturbing, but its overall local attitude.

Fantastic view of Luxor city centre on the eastern side of the Nile from the roof terrace. The jetty for boat transfers is directly opposite the hotel . Boat trip takes 5 minutes to Luxor Temple or 10 minutes to Karnak Temple.
We as a family had a fantastic 3 nights in the Steigenberger Nile Palace. The hotel has everything you need, is super clean and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly!
Especially Ibrahim at reception, Achmed at the pool, Arafat our taxiboat driver and Mona in the Spa were fantastic!!!!!
The location is perfect with a nice view of the sunset over the Nile. A taxiboat to Karnak temple is 12€ roundtrip.
The restaurants in the hotel are great especially the Thai restaurant!

The location was amazing, just walking distance from market, and ferry. The staff was very helpful and good. You can get horse carriages as soon as you go out of the hotel. We however walked by foot to the Karnak temple.
Great location, the hotel people helped us with organizing our tour to the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temples at an affordable price, they even dropped us at the station for our departure.
Easy check-in, easy to access from the Go Bus station (also Luxor train station) (by walking only 10 min.) Clean and quiet room and the staff. They are really kind and helpful. I really appreciate them. From Karnak Temple, you can get in a minibus easily to the hotel. You don't need to hassle with taxi drivers or horse car riders. You can walk to Luxor Temple and the museum in less than 15 min.
