The breakfast is well worth the price: unlimited tea, coffee, fruit juice, cereals, fresh fruit, varios breads, coooked meats, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber. Book in adcance or the day before to get the discounted rate. There's a bar and pool table.
If you are arriving by train into the main station, Hauptbahnhof, the hostel is a five minute walk and from the bus station, whihc is next to it (Flixbus and others) it's 13 minutes. It's also within easy reach of the main sights. Marienplatz is 1.5km (so min walk)
Fantastic location, so close to Marienplatz and so easy to get around by the nearby metro. Great local restaurants behind the hotel with good prices. Lovely staff and attention to detail, with a great breakfast. They even serve the local white breakfast sausage. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only thing that was not great was the bed, which was only a double, and quite firm, but I did book the small room so other more expensive rooms may be different. The rest of the bedroom was lovely and had a nice big shower.
The hotel location is strategies, only 5 minutes of walking from the Munchen Train Station and around 15 minutes to Marienplatz . The staff was helpful, I reserved the room for only one person which was supposed to be two persons, and then the staff changed into two people without any additional charge.
Very nice hotel. We stayed in a quadruple room. The access to the hotel from the central train station was good. The welcome email contained all necessary information on how to reach the hotel from airport by train. Also I spoke to front desk who was very polite and explained too. Hotel is very close to marienplatz and anything that u can think of
Hotel Metropol is well located: within walking distance from Munich Hbf, Marienplatz, close to many cafes and restaurants. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was a simple selection but good enough for me.
Very pleasant hotel within walking distance of the main train station, also walking distance to the Marienplatz and the lovely Frauenkirche and other famous parts of Munich. The hotel is well maintained, very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent, the staff very attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Located a short walk from Marienplatz and numerous Altstadt attractions, and only two minutes away from the closest U-Bahn station, the Hotel Opera is a fantastic pied-a-terre for exploring Munich! Their delicious full-service breakfast was the perfect start to each day, and we loved unwinding in the charming bar area and the beautiful outdoor courtyard. Highly recommended!
Close to the main train station, near a supermarket, very quiet at night, no street traffic noise, free tea and coffee machine in the lobby, could walk to Marienplatz and most of Munich's attractions from hotel.
The hotel was perfectly located in central Munich, a stone s throw from Marienplatz and the Siedlinger Tor U-bahn. Also the bar wasnice staff and a good DJ. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options.
Easy to get to on public transport from Munich International airport. Hotel is on a back street in the old town which means it’s away from the crowds. The rooms were perfect and clean and really comfortable. The location was ideal and you could get around walking the hotel is literally 5 mins from Marienplatz. There are many restaurants close by and bars and if you want to access public transpiration it’s easy to get to this from the hotel. Receptionist/staff were very friendly,helpful and approachable.
