Ideal location for me as it was a walking distance for me from the hotel to the meetings I had this week. Room was quiet and the space was well utilised with separated work and sleeping areas. The kitchenette is perfect for Sundays when almost everything is closed in Bonn, including the restaurant in the hotel.
This hotel offers comfortable accommodation in Kassenich, a southern district of historic Bonn. It lies just 3 kilometres from the city centre and enjoys excellent public transport links.

The property is located a short peaceful walk from Bonn city centre and is on a street with shops 1 minute in each direction. there are multiple bus and tram stops on the street. I found the tram to be the best way into the city centre both the 61 and 62 run there and you get to the city centre in 10 minutes saving you 15/20 minutes walking. The trams arrive very often as well, each service must arrive every 10 minutes or so. You will never wait longer than 5 minutes. The building is beautiful as are most in the Bonn area. The interior is nice and well decorated with a lovely dining area in which I watched some portions of the football. The hotel was fully booked but was always quiet which was brilliant as I only really used the hotel for sleeping. The staff were excellent and had good chat as well as great knowledge of the area. Bonn is a lovely place to visit with a great history as well as being close to Cologne with train links to many major cities. I would suggest if you go you visit the
House of the History of the Federal Republic of Germany which is the most interesting museum I have been to in my life. To my surprise it was free and the staff there were very welcoming to. I hope the staff at Astoria can pass my praises onto the museum as well.
Not that it is necessary but the staff in the hotel all spoke great English and could easily understand me despite my thick Scottish accent.
The people of Germany are all fantastic and respectful but I knew this from my previous 2 visits.
Thanks for making me and my friend’s stay incredible. Cheers to the three “lads” for serving me the fantastic German beer as well. You are forever welcome in Scotland.
