This is a simple but welcoming hostel. The kitchen is very well equipped and the price is affordable so this hostel is super suitable for budget travellers like me. WC and shower rooms are super clean, and the surroundings is quiet and chilled in the evening and at night. It only takes a 10-minute walk to the city center "Anger" or you can also take the tram, the nearest station is some 250 meters away.
At one tram stop away from the Railway Station, it was easy to reach this hotel. The hotel is also located on a small side street which reduces traffic noise. Five minutes walk away is the Krämerbrücke and Old City. A few minutes in another direction leads to two of the city's museums and shopping arcades. In short, an ideal location with modern comfortable rooms and pleasant public spaces. Also an excellent breakfast buffet with truly good coffee in their Orangerie.
A classy hotel conveniently located between the main station and the old town. The room is maintained clean so I could stay really comfortably. The wide variety of the breakfast buffet, including warm dishes was impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly and kind. The accommodation fee is not so cheap, but I think the stay in Hotel zum Nord am Anger is worth it for the price.

b) Walking distance to shops and malls (eg, Anger 1, Rossmann, McD, H&M, to name a few)
I liked everything about the hostel. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, everything looks really cool (and fits the opera/theater theme) - you only walk about 15 minutes to Erfurt central station or Anger, and there is a bus stop almost right in front of the building.
I booked a double room, and it had a very nice interior - the extra sink in the room was really useful.
The shared bathroom was really clean - as was everything else.
I really look forward to staying here again.
