Our booking was not honoured upon check in, despite receiving check in details via email two days before our stay (I have screenshots!). We had 3 rooms booked, and when my friends checked in, the staff said that my credit card had not worked. This left us stranded in Bogota (5 people) with no accommodation. My friend said that staff were not very friendly and kept saying it was our error, despite the booking being active on my booking.com app and receiving a “welcome” information with check in process. Due to no rooms available, staff could not honour the rooms we had booked months prior. This was super disappointing given we were excited to stay here and be in this specific location of Bogota. This had never happened to me before in all of my travels, and despite having the booking.com app/confirmation of booking/process of payment, we had to find alternate accommodation. I thought this place looked really cool, but we were not happy with the service at all. We only booked through booking.com in the first place, rather than their direct website, because the website would not take our Australian cards. Overall, this was a stressful experience for us.
