Weil is not the perfect choice in my opinion but the Vitra is a must-see and a great experience. Would come back for sure! Spend a little more in terms of money and stay in proximity to the connection with tram 8 (or in Basel).

A no. 55 bus stops nearby and goes to Basel where other busses and trams connect to places of interest in Basel and the main line station.
It's only a 10 minute walk to the Vitra Design Museum.
15 min walk to the Vitra Design Museum and campus. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking and in proximity to a supermarket. A range of items available for breakfast (and teas, snacks throughout the day) when you want. Room was super clean with many thoughtful, homey touches. The garden is beautiful and both owners are so kind and very generous. I would return.
Helpful, welcoming host. A great, modern room in a well restored 500 year old building. Very convenient quiet location for our visit to the Vitra Design Museum. Walking distance to a large supermarket. Excellent in house restaurant (sadly only open Wednesday too Saturday) had friendly staff and a very wide selection of Rosti (best I've ever had!), wine and beer.Choice of cellar or open air seating. Good car park.
Nice breakfast! Personal nice and helpful. Close to the Vitra design museum. You can walk there. We recommend to visit this museum. Do not miss the slide, especially in case you travel with kids.
The hotel is very nicely located if you are visiting Vitra Design Museum, Basel, or some of the surrounding outlet shops. Hotel personal is very friendly. Breakfast is very rich, everything one might want (including vegan options) is there.
The location was easy to reach from the highway and a short walking distance to the Vitra Design Museum, which was the main reason for our visit. Our family (2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant) stayed 2 nights. The hotel provided us with a baby cot. Breakfast was healthy and delicious, and staff was friendly and hospitable. Our room was comfortable and stylish. Parking was located at the entrance of the hotel. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings, with playgrounds for children.
