Zurich is a lovely place to visit! It feels very clean and safe, and it's lovely to walk around & enjoy the architecture.
I've visited Zurich as a solo traveller, and have found the public transit system easy to navigate (tip: download the SBB Mobile app!).

The shops, restaurants were great especially where we stayed in the old district. Light rail and trains to Zurich make it very easy to get around even for people who enjoy walking. We visited the National Museum and enjoyed it. It was not overwhelming or too large to explore. We did not have time to check out anything else in the guidebook and I am sure there is more to see. One museum we wanted to visit had closed.

Great walks around town, plenty of restaurants in Neiderdorf district near where we were staying, trams to everywhere just watch out for them as they do not give way, art galleries were wonderful. You have to remember it is another city so more overwhelming than the countryside villages.

Zurich is a small city and easy to get around by tram and bus. The hotel was in walking distance of the Zurich lake. Nice cafés along the lake but expensive. Some cafés charge £6.00 for a coffee. The restaurants in the supermarkets are the cheapest. Food not very imaginative, up market restaurants very expensive. The service isn’t very good waiters are not trained properly. Allowing dogs in cafés and restaurants should not be allowed.

Lovely place but ridiculously expensive meaning poor value.
Lovely place but ridiculously expensive meaning poor value. Our hotel was terrible which really tarnished our view of Zurich in general. We should have stayed in France and just come in on a day trip.
My whole business trip was amazing with this Aparthotel.
Great location, quiet comfortable rooms, super close to the supermarket Migros & Coop, restaurants, city centre and public transport. Super clean and very comfy. A 2 min walk from the nearest tram station.
Everything you need will be in the apartment. Kitchen is well equipped, Dishwasher, fridge and freezer, a lot of closet space, comfy beds and also Free local Sim-card. I would recommend it to anyone. the best value for money in zurich.
Great hotel, great staff (particularly thanks to Ginevra at the reception), really worth to stay over if you are travelling or if you are doing a stop at the Zurich Airport. Not too far from the city and well connected, not only via taxi but also via Trams and Buses.
The breakfast was ok, I was expecting a few more option but the things that were available were superb.
The restaurant was very good as well, a one-time free drink is included!
The bedroom was very large and there was plenty of space. The bathroom was also a good size. The bed was exceedingly comfortable. Everything was very clean.
The breakfasts were good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location is outside of the city centre but it is feasible because two trams stop very near the hotel and go to the centre of town. One of them is the No. 10 tram which is a short ride to Kloten Airport.
Large hotel with nice restaurant. Spa and exercise area. The breakfast was the best I had during my 2 weeks in europe). A huge spread, fresh everything. The made to order omlet bar was great. If I didn't stay here next time in Zurich, I'd come by for breakfast, and if you're not coming down for breakfast, you can fill out your order on a card that attaches to your door handle, leave before 2am and they'll bring your food to your room.
The property is beautiful, welll maintained. The staff was incredable - very helpful and attentive, nice and welcomning.
Room is very clean, wide - alot of space and luxurious. Located in the best area in Zurich in the middle of shops walking street between the Bhanofstrasse and the old city. Hotel has beautiful, small but really nice fitness room. Food at hotel - both in breakfast and in the yaed restaurant is excellent.
Easy walking distance from train and bus stations, grocery and other shops around 5-10 minutes walk away.
Tram goes directly from Zurich Airport to just behind the hotel.
Comfortable room, very clean, sufficient storage space plenty of kitchen utensils including pans were provided.
Far enough from the heart of the city centre that nights were nice and quiet aside from occasional rumbling from trams.
Breakfast was continental, with good selection. Hot coffee /Tea, Selection of juices, breads, fresh fruit. All amenities were in room. Electric kettle, coffee maker, teacup and saucer, complimentary water bottle. 5-7 minute walk to Zurich main train station, 15 min on Train to Zurich airport. They also had a luggage hold after check out and a clean restroom in the hotel for guests to freshen up.
The location is too good. I recommend the word echo especially for young people who visit Zurich for good fun and evening out. Interesting bars with good music and entertainment are literally under your window. The hotel is located in the downtown area do not spend money on expensive public transport that you do not need. The best points for the receptionists, charismatic and friendly.
This was such a convenient location in the heart of Zurich’s old town. It was really conveniently places and surrounded by the cities history at your doorstep. Trudy was really welcoming and we loved sipping grappa in her courtyard at sunset. Just at the front of her home is one of the cities fountains, we enjoyed a sunset dip and was one of our best experiences in Switzerland.
This is the first time I visit Zurich and glad that we chose Hotel Felix. The best thing with the hotel is the location. It’s in the Zurich Old Town which is the beautiful part. Restaurants and shops are walking distance. The hotel is very clean and modern. I will def recommend the hotel for someone who will visiy Zurich and if I go again, I will stay at the same hotel.
Location is perfect. Near restaurants and Bars if you want to go out at night.
McDonald's right across the street.
Close to Europaallee and Zürich HB.
24hs open store downstairs.
Guys are 100% supportive and super nice.
Massive difference on cost versus other hotels. If you are on short trip and not looking specifically for luxury, this is the right place.
We planned to stop over Zurich so we can return home after our holiday around Interlaken. However, we realised that there are hotels near the airport which can be cheaper and provide free shuttle services to airport. However, if you are in Zurich for work, this is a nice place to stay.
Hotel receptionist was very helpful and hospitable, he tried his best to get me an early check-in room and he did. Also, the kitchen had all the basics you would need to do a warm meal. Finally, the location was perfect near to Zurich main train station and also city old city center.
Dear Sir/madam,
I am back to Germany this week. I was there at the Hotel and I used the code but I couldn't enter the Hotel. so I had to go to IBIS Hotel in Zürich and pay twice the amount. so I am asking u to refund the booking fee.
best regards,
I needed to stay here because I had an overnight layover in Zurich and didn't want to go all the way out to where my friend lives. For this purpose, the hotel was perfect—right in the city center, and 20 minutes to the airport door-to-door.
This is a truly great hotel. Best location in the old town. Convenient to the trams and railway station. And for those wanting to exercise, they have arranged access to the best gyms in Zurich (albeit a walk).
This is the best hotel if you are on a Budget. Since Zurich is one of the most expensive cities in the world, it is hard to find a good hotel at an affordable rate that is so close to public transportation.
First time on Zurich me and my wife, glad we choose Ruby as our hotel. Best location, staff, rooms, the shower is amazing, everything was great and clean!
