Cons : But the way to get to the parking lot made me a little annoyed.
Unfortunately, there is some furniture issues, which all were not managed well. A leg of The chair was broken as well as the shower hose water was leaking.
The 125-year-old Hotel Gletschergarten with its magnificent mountain and glacier view is personally run by the 4th and 5th generations with a lot of commitment.

Although one spends very little time in one's room in a place like Grindelwald with so much to do every day, Hotel Bernerhof provides an exceptional base from which to springboard each day's events. Rooms are comfortable with exceptional views (worth spending slightly extra for a room with a view), very friendly and helpful staff and a location that cannot be beaten for proximity to transport, restaurants, etc.
Comfortable hotel for a short stay in Grindelwald. View out the window of mountains and a glacier was fantastic. Tasty breakfast and dinner available on site and there were gluten free options available. We used the free city bus to the bus stop right at the hotel door. There is no kettle in the room, however, there is access to a kettle and a microwave downstairs. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Very cosy hotel located close to the train station and the center. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We also had diner in the restaurant downstairs, we recommend to try it out, best food we had in Grindelwald.
We were given a room upgrade which was superb, breakfast was really good, as was the bar! And can you believe it if you stay in a Grindelwald hotel you get a free local bus pass
Location was very convenient, only a 5 minute walk to the Grindelwald station and 10 minute walk to the Terminal station. Buses run right past the hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful
It was an apartment of our own. The free space was amazing. Kitchenware was all equipped for. It is near the Grindelwald train station that we didn't need to go further uphill.The householder connected you with inbox or apps not bothering you.
Wow, my favourite hotel in Switzerland. Right in the heart centre of Grindelwald, with an unforgettable view of the mountains. the hotel was clean, modern, stylish, cosy and overall perfection. The staff where lovely, and very helpful. Their English speaking was perfect throughout the whole hotel. We took our 2 Pomeranians with us and the hotel was so accommodating, gave us beds and bowls for them, and everyone around the hotel greeted them each day :)
I really love the location and the views. It's quite easy to take a bus or train to viewpoints even if the hotel is located not in the center of the Grindelwald. There are not many choices for breakfast, but still, all food was tasty and fresh. And I like coffee.
I booked the biggest apartment for 7 people, but it was just four of us, so that's why the price was quite expensive 😅 but I'm sure room for only 2 people will be totally worth its price!

It is a unique hotel located right next to the Gondola station to Grindelwald First. It has traditional Switzerland style interriors. The room was large and clean. Also the breakfast which is included in the fee was spectacular and people were very kind. You can also have lunch and dinner at Restaurant alte post in front of the hotel at a reasonable price.
Amazing mountain view from the room. Hostel is very clean and washroom is very well maintained like a hotel. Both shower and toilet is right next to the room. Breakfast is also amazing with so many options. It is the best place to stay in Grindelwald on a budget.
