Bodmi is definitely the nicest place we stayed at in Switzerland. It's in a really good location slightly up from the bustle of the town near Grindelwald station and lends for a calm, relaxing environment with breathtaking views of the valley. The bus from the station stops just outside the hotel but if you're looking to get to various places, the Bodmi village is just a short 10 min walk from the Grindelwald station (through a walker's only shortcut).
They serve a fresh, sumptuous breakfast along with a comfortable cozy and sizeable room. In addition, if you're looking for a romantic dinner spot, the hotel restaurant feels like just the right place. I stayed for two nights with my wife and toddler and for families with kids, the hotel is very accommodating. Coming from California, I really enjoyed the burger (it's probably the most delicious I've had) so much that I had it the second night as well and was not disappointed. For the burger alone, I would come back again.
If you're into paragliding, the nice thing about Hotel Bodmi's location is that the drop is on a field right next to the hotel so you can easily walk back to the hotel as I did.
Finally, our host, Martina was warm and very communicative. Thank you, Martine and your team for a lovely stay. We hope to stay at Bodmi again.

The view from the balcony is perfect, with a full view of the Eiger and the canyon. We could see the entrance to the Firstbahn from the breakfast room.
The staff was amazing, Helena in particular was very helpful.
The decoration is simple and elegant, especially the style on the sheets, curtains, and towels. There are some skulls in the walls from hunted animals which may be creepy or sad to some.
Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and breakfast was tasty with a nice variety. Location was great! Less than a 10 min walk from the main train station and about 2-3 min walk to the firstbahn.
The location was amazing. Gondola to Grindelwald First was steps away and the Firstbahn bus stop was a 1-2 min. walk. The train station was an easy walk as well (or the bus took you there.) You are in the heart of Grindelwald.
We love this place and hope to return! So nice to be away from the crowds of Grindelwald and the views are priceless. The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s easy to reach on the cable car even with luggage. The Firstbahn operators are very helpful getting bags loaded and unloaded quickly. You could also get there by car or taxi if needed.

Spacious hotel with comfortable, modernity decorated rooms. Our room had a good view of the mountains from the balcony. Friendly staff. Location was just steps across from the Firstbahn station and within easy walking distance of several shops and restaurants. Grindewald bus stop is also right outside the hotel which provides easy access to other areas of town.
