The place was spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly. The included breakfast was one of the best breakfast inclusions I’ve ever had, plus you can easily walk into the city.

We were fortunate to stay on the gold level floor. The breakfast and appetizer selections were excellent. The lounge, indoor and outdoor, was beautiful. The location of the Empress was ideal for our short stay in Victoria. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

This is a very large hotel. On arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a suit.
Unfortunately with two double beds the which meant we had problems moving around the room.
There was no bar or evening restaurant on site even if Booking.com says so

Pendray Inn is a completely renovated historic villa centrally located in Victoria’s inner harbour. As they also serve afternoon tea, the tea selection for breakfast is quite larger than in normal inns and the scones are marvellous.

We stayed in a harbour view suite and while a little dated decor wise, was clean, extremely spacious with magnificent views of Victoria inner harbour. The price we paid was really reasonable and overall the best accommodation we stayed in of the 10 different hotels we stayed at during our Seattle / Canada road trip. Also note ferries from Seattle / Port Angeles dock directly in from of the hotel so really convenient.
Location, so close to inner harbour, BC ferry bus station and bus stop to Butchard gardens. The room was spacious and the separate bedroom makes it feel like an apartment.

Very good breakfast in a lovely large room, available 7-11 a.m. The hotel was quite full when we stayed but was surprisingly very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and I would book here again.
The hotel is located at the Inner Harbour of Victoria. We could easily reach all the attractions of Victoria by foot. The personnel of the hotel was very friendly at any time and we found our room and the hotel itself very clean.
We really enjoyed our stay. I booked our stay knowing that the building was quite old and not sure what to expect. The reviews were good, so I said why not let’s try it. Upon arrival we were overjoyed to see the antique furniture and decor throughout the building. the staff were friendly and helpful. There is free parking, other heritage homes surrounding the hotel neighborhood. An easy 10 minute walk to the inner harbour.
