Downtown is best explored on foot, as you weave your way through skyscrapers and visit museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In the winter time you can steer clear of icy paths by heading underground through the passages of the Underground City, full of shops, cinemas and food courts.
From here metros will conveniently take you outwards in any direction you might want to go, from the historic Old Montreal to the hip café and restaurant culture of the Quartier Latin-Le Village.
In summer, stay closer to the old town and head outdoors in Parc Jean-Drapeau on the St Lawrence River islands of Île Sainte-Helen and Île Notre-Dame. If the weather isn’t fine enough for rowing, water-skiing and beaches then head to the Montreal Casino.

I loved Montreal on my first visit. People are very friendly and proud of their city. I especially liked the Plateau Mont Royal Neighborhood where I stayed where you can find top quality restaurants with cuisines from all over the world!!! The nearby Duluth neighborhood was a lot of fun as there was a Brazilian festival there for two of the days I was there with music, food and dancing. Also there are interesting murals up and down the street The Kutuma Hotel was about 2 blocks from the Sherbrooke station which is convenient for Old Montreal and the Old Port. It was also about 10 block from the Berri UQAM metro (with a nice walk through the Quartier Latin) which was convenient for visiting the Jean Talon market and the Botanical Garden.

Great city! Old town is a must.
Great city! Old town is a must. Also enjoyed the beautiful Botanical Garden, old Olympic site and Biodome. Rented Lime scooters and toured the former Expo 67 islands. Complex Desjardins and the underground area were amazing. Took the metro and bus to Mount Royal to enjoy the view, visited the Jean Talon Market, visted the Fine arts museum. Overall, a wonderful city to visit! We purchased 3 day metro tickets which we used for the bus and excellent metro system.

It was a bit under six hours drive to get to Montreal from NYC suburbs in NJ. A great getaway, probably best suited for a long weekend. We added Thursday to our Labor Day weekend trip so four nights was perfect. The kind of place you wouldn't hesitate to return for a weekend getaway. Not too expensive but not cheap, good food and great fun. Loved the mountain lookout, the Picnik Music festival, Chinatown. We forgot to go to the underground shopping but will do next trip when the weather isn't as cooperative.

The people were friendly and accommodating.
The area we stayed in was within walking distance of a lot of things.
The sites we did see were lovely (this was a getaway so minimal site seeing)
We mainly ate in the area we were in, which was Chinatown and the food was fantastic. Coco bakery was a big favourite of ours.
We had burgers at Billy K and I'm sad we didn't get a chance to go back.

Very easy city to get around by walking or taking the Metro. Ste Catherine’s street has a very good selection of restaurants, the Old Port is very historic and interesting, Norte Dame Bascilica was stunning.
The location is amazing! The room was much nicer than the pictures made it seem. It was the fastest and most efficient check-in I have ever experienced.
The women on the front desk knew we were in town, along with many others (for a concert). They asked us how it was and how long we had to wait, due to covid. They were genuinely happy for us.

Perfect location to see Old Montreal, Chinatown and the shopping district - anyone up for a walk can reach all these areas easily. This hotel was the cheapest option in Old Town Montreal. I wouldn't say it was the best or the cleanest but overall worth the price and I enjoyed my stay.
The location of the hotel is convenient for anything downtown Montreal. The train station from Quebec City arrived right to the hotel. We had a great view from our room.
