Super friendly welcome at reception. I received an upgrade when I mentioned I had come all the way from Belgium to visit Gordon Lightfoot's hometown. Perfect location to walk to the Lightfoot statue near Lake Couchiching and the town center. I even walked to the cemetery. The wonderful restaurant "The Common Stove" on Mississaga street is a few minutes' walk and not to be missed!! There is no cleaning service if you only stay for a few days but I found that quite nice because no one's bothering you. Good coffee machine in the room. I felt very comfortable and "free" since no one bothered me about anything :-).
Great view of Lake Simcoe. Room was very clean and comfortable. It was close to Casino Rama which we liked. I would recommend this motel and will definately be back again.
It was cheap. We were looking for a bed to sleep after the show at Casino Rama, check in late and leave first thing in the morning. It was close to the casino, that’s it.
Breakfast was ok - overall better than your average continental. It did have some hot options like eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns but these were not 'fresh' they were the frozen powder variety. If you prefer something healthier this isn't the breakfast for you. Location is good if you are doing something in Orillia or at Casino Rama.
The gentleman at the front desk waited for my friend and I to arrive as we got in late because of a show at Casino Rama. He waited to give us the keys to the bedroom.
Location was convenient for anyone going to Casino Rama. Not great for walking around since it is in an area with lots of big box stores and more industrial.
