I had an amazing stay at Castelinho! It was just what we needed after a busy week—a peaceful and quiet retreat in the heart of nature. The calmness and tranquility were perfect, and the panoramic city views from the pool were simply breathtaking. The staff was incredibly attentive, making us feel right at home. Breakfast by the pool with those stunning views was a highlight. Castelinho itself is incredibly charming—I couldn't stop taking pictures of the beautiful colonial tiles on the floor. The rooms are modern, spacious, bright, and clean, and felt really cozy! Plus, the hotel's location is fantastic, right next to the main street in Santa Teresa, surrounded by lively bars and restaurants. I can't wait to come back again!

Nice hotel near Santos Dumont airport. Good option for 1 or 2 nights before a flight. Some rooms have a really nice view of Sugarloaf mountain and Corcovado.

Excellent breakfast with many choices. Beautiful view of Sugarloaf Mountain. Great location in very safe area of the city. Staff was professional and helpful. Due to delayed flight back home we stayed another night and the staff made the process seamless, allowing us to stay in same room, same price.

We are absolutely amazed by this boutique hotel! We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the wonderful view of Rio from our spacious room with a hot tub! The stuff was incredibly friendly and helpful! The breakfast on the patio with a view of Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf mountain was very delicious! If we ever come back to Brazil THIS is the place to stay! Thank you!

Shower- good water pressure and hot water, rooms cleaned daily, breakfast was good, most of the staff spoke English and were very nice and helpful. I had to print out a voucher for sugarloaf mountain, and they did print it for me but charged R3 per page. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms are dated but still clean, if the hotel was in a different area I would stay again

The view overlooking the bay/city below and SugarLoaf mountain with the cables going back and forth was priceless. Having delicious and healthy breakfast served by friendly staff every morning in the breakfast room was special. Both breakfast and sitting rooms had the amazing view. Adriana and her sons Stephan and Chris were wonderful. Adriana was so warm and hospitable extending my late (7pm) check out which made all the difference. The location was A+

Great location in a part of Rio that is not so touristy. Walking distance to Sugarloaf Mountain. Great neighborhood for walking around and exploring. Room was beautiful and exceeded expectations. My girlfriend loved the wall art. Breakfasts were great and included a lot of homemade items (juices, breads, jams). Staff was extremely helpful in giving advice for some under the radar ideas for Rio.

The interior design of the hotel has lots of details and the rooms were comfortable. We had a room with a portion of the room looking at sugarloaf mountain which was nice. The rooftop bar and pool area has a great view.
