We loved the location, the fun or interesting decor in this beautiful old home, the very helpful staff and our light filled room.
We actually returned here after travelling around other areas of Bolivia. Twice, the staff ensured we had taxis to the airport that were reliable and safe.

The location in Sopocachi was great. It is easy for tours or taxis to pick you up right in front of the hotel. There is a mall with a supermarket on the other side of the round about and there are several great coffee shops and restaurants within two or three blocks. There are two Telerifico lines within six blocks; one going up to El Alto for a scenic tour and the other (Celeste) bringing you to the historic center with the main tourist attractions. The area is very safe during the day and also safe at night.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped.
The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. They organized a pickup from the El Alto Bus Terminal as well as an airport drop-off for us upon request.
The included breakfast provides the standard hotel buffet options, but there are much better coffee shops within a short walking distance, such as Typica Cafe.

From the moment you walk from the hustle & bustle of the La Paz streets and into the peace of the front garden, you know you are staying someplace special. Originally built in 1916, this was the home of Dr xxx and Teresita. Their sons have turned the home into bed and breakfast. The rooms are comfortable, the showers nice and hot. But for the full experience, take the time to explore the house! You feel like you are walking back in time! Family photos and art work are displayed throughout the property. The music room contains 2 vintage pianos and the halls are filled with family memorabilia. Ask Ernesto and he will show you photos of his grandfather & great-grandfather during one of the many Bolivian revolutions.
We highly recommend Casa Teresita & will stay again if ever we come back to La Paz!
