A really very lovely family run hotel. It has been meticulously renovated and decorated by the current owners and it is full of charm and character. While it is on a main road the landscaping at the front shields it from any noise and I found it quite tranquil. A very nice and unique residence just a short walk to the sea front and beach. The owners were very hospitable and welcoming and all the staff were very courteous and attentive to our needs.

Character property with good sized rooms and great shower. Odd machine in room that looked like it should have coffee pods but didn’t , only gave out coffee tinged water so no good for tea making. Rubbish hair dryer and towels that had seen better days but everything very clean.
Good evening meal if a little pricey plus an odd staff attitude . Great breakfast. Unexpected price hike to bill compared to when we’d booked.

The location was excellent. We wanted to travel the Coastal Tram which traverses the Belgian Coast, the longest tram route in Europe, we believe. We were not disappointed.
The Avenue claims to be a "... a renovated original Art Deco hotel dating from 1932 " That's true, but it is a slightly fading asset as is the "family run" aspect in these straitened times. Staff are pleasant and welcoming, but struggling a little with an ageing building. The breakfast was excellent, but is hosted across the road in a partner hotel.
