Loved the area with friendly people everywhere.
Loved the area with friendly people everywhere. Went to the Museum which my Great nephew really loved. All hands on. Went to Kirwan Bowling and had a great time with all our extended family.
Also went to the Tavern and had a wonderful meal which didn't cost too much.
Spent time on The Strand at the Waterpark and all the kids had a ball splashing around.

It is a nice city surrounded by some rainforest, farmland and bush. Lots to see and do. I loved the museums. I loved the botanical gardens; the hill overlooking Townsville is five minutes drive away from the hotel and you can drive or walk up it. The esplanade is worth the walk. Lots of places eat and drink along it.

Townsville is a relaxed, growing city with good restaurants in Palmer Street and along the Strand. Easy to get around and always peaceful on the water front. Magnetic Island is a quick ferry ride away.

I live in the area and I feel it has a lot to offer by way of sun and beaches or beautiful rain forest with gorgeous fresh clean cool sometimes cold running waters at your fingertips to enjoy . Shopping and night life at bars cinema cafe restaurants or theatre, your choice .

The friendly nature of the staff. All the amenities within the hotel were all close to the room but there was no noise from the bar. Food was really nice. Jo on reception was extremely helpful. I felt so relaxed that I forgot I had to catch my transport to my next port of call. I would definitely stay here in the hotel and Townsville again
We stayed here for one night while traveling through Townsville and were pleasantly surprised by how great this place was. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The property provided an extra mattress for our youngest child. The best were comfortable and it was close to Palmer street which was a lovely walk in the evening.
The location on Palmer Street is central to Townsville Mall, Yacht Club, in fact most places in the city. The bed was very comfortable and made up with nice clean white sheets. We were located on 6th floor with good views over South Townsville. The breakfast had variety for most tastes. The car park was easily accessible.
Our room was lovely and clean and well appointed and the bed is so comfortable I didn't want to get up !!! The hotel is in a perfect location, 5 min walk from the city, quiet, friendly and safe parking. What more can you need. This hotel will be our new 'go to' when we are in Townsville, thank you Palmer Collective.
Good location, nice rooms, good staff, if there is an issue with maintenance they do provide good support which many other hotels do not.We have stayed in a few different hotels in Townsville and never had any issues at the Oaks, secure parking and good area to park whilst checking in.
Keira, the part time manager, was really nice and the best part of my stay. she helped me with all my inquiries, and booked me a taxi, which is hard to come by in Townsville, to the train station. Upper lounge area was really spacious and nice. Kitchen tidied up twice a day.
I have been comming to townsville a bit in the last 4 years ..I don't stay anywhere else..most easy going relaxed joint in the whole of townsville everything is at your fingers take away shops beach comfortably hotel ..mad sleeps..jus love this majestic 😍 joint
My family and I always stay at Hotel Allen and always enjoy it. The kids loved swimming in the pool while my partner and I relaxed close by watching them. We love the location, pricing and friendly staff at Hotel Allen so will continue to spend our getaways here
Hotel is on the Strand. Very close to the beach, walking path and right in the middle of all the Strands attractions. Very basic kitchen facilities. Hotel let me check out early and refunded the nights that I didn't stay but had paid for.
Everything about it, in its presentation, location, staff was excellent. It's definitely a place to stay at again when visiting Townsville, especially for its price. Other hotels and apartments were over to the top expensive.
The room was a great size for our family. Very outdated décor. It suited our purpose but probably wouldn't go there again if it wasn't a simple drive through Townsville.
