Our stay was extremely pleasant. Grenivik Guesthouse has been a beautiful surprise in the North of Iceland after days of camping. We would've definitely loved to stay longer to enjoy the peace, the comfort and the landscape. The house was very clean, our room was very comfortable and big enough for two, and all the common spaces were really well organized so we had our privacy but also some lovely interaction with other guests, and the hot tub has been a very pleasant extra to enjoy at sunset.
But the best part of our stay was definitely Ingólfur, the host. His welcoming was very warm and kind, he was very open and helpful as a host, he gave us a lot of tips as soon as we arrived, and prepared us a really delicious breakfast with a lot of local ingredients. Ingólfur was also very kind to stay with us during our breakfast -and even longer- to talk with us about Icleand history, traditions, culture, geography and all the curiosities we had. He has a special place in our hearts.

The hot pod and the tiny house are very beautiful and relaxing. The bathroom and the kitchen for our own was also very nice. The forest around the House and the little birds was very beautiful and calm.

The room was very nice and spacious. The view of the fjord was breathtaking. Location was nice to spot whales.
In the evening we enjoyed the sunshine whilst Akureyri was already in a cold shadow.
There is a folder in the room with facts about the water we didn’t know, general info and tour recommendations that we did, great idea!
Stepping into a hot tub and relaxing in its warm water is bliss. If you opt for a hotel with a jacuzzi, you can do this any time you like – morning, afternoon, or evening. Some hotels offer guests private hot tubs, while others have a shared jacuzzi that’s usually part of a wellness spa.
This place is great. There's a large common area with a pool table and lots of seating options, surrounded by several rooms. There are a couple shared bathrooms/showers and we didn't have a problem finding them free. There's a deck out back with a hot tub. We didn't have the breakfast, but it looked amazing. I liked having the option for coffee in the morning. The rooms were quiet and so were the other guests. We would stay again.
Very comfortable and clean place. It has a common area with fun activities, such as pool table and a hot tub. Host is very nice and helpful. Atmosphere is relaxing and friendly. Enjoyed our stay here very much!
The facilities are great and it’s in a beautiful location. The hot tub is a nice touch!
