The Prince George Hotel, hotel in Halifax

Set in the heart of downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia, only 210 metres from the Scotiabank Centre, this hotel offers luxurious guestrooms, first-rate services and an award-wining restaurant.

Beds and pillows very comfortable. Keurig pods in room for coffee, milk pods not powdered. Mini bar, fridge and water in room (for purchase, I assume). Buffet breakfast fairly good: scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, bacon, sausages, pancakes, roasties(potato), yoghurt, porridge and selection cereal packets, good assortment sliced fresh fruit, good coffee, nice toast for the asking. Across Carmichael St from ScotiaCentre entrance gates A, E, and D, so easy to walk in two minutes. Round the corner from the other entrance gates, and many good restaurants. Casual bar/restaurant (LevelBar) and formal restaurant (Gio) share same kitchen, same food, so you can be casual and still have a very good dinner. Immediate attention and help from staff on any question. Enclosed pedestrian walkway enabling one to walk down to the harbour without going outside (into snow or rain) begins at this hotel; and there are elevators in the 'pedway' for coming back.

Breakfast and large spacious rooms. I also liked that the rooms had bare floors. No carpet. Really nice towels and the rooms were cleaned by staff everyday. The pool and hot tub area were well kept. My kids also loved the free hot chocolate everyday in the main lobby.

The room was spacious and decorated tastefully The beds were very comfortable, fluffier higher pillows and larger than regular bath towels. I loved the fact that there was soundproofing in the rooms. I couldn’t hear any noise from adjoining rooms except when people walked by in the hallway.

For a family of 4 there were 2 sets of bathroom, and that was unexpected! Laundry facilities for a looney each for wash and drier, which was very reasonable. Very clean, ample parking space.

We went to Dennys for breakfast. Meal was ok but our waitress could have been a little better. The bathroom in the hotel was well equipped with a makeup mirror and dual shower head but did seem a little cramped as the toilet was in its own room....just seemed like too many doors for one space.

Huge dorm room with four separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. Sitting area and full kitchen (did not use the kitchen), loads of closet and cupboard space. Would be good for someone staying for extended time or vacation.

I couldn't ask for a better location for my stay! The hotel is perfectly situated, making it incredibly convenient to explore the surrounding area. The room itself was large and spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and unwind. The overall experience was delightful, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay.

Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. We were given a free upgrade to a deluxe king suite, which also included breakfast. When I asked why the free upgrade, the receptionist simply said that they like to please first time guests, if there is availability. Our room was very comfortably- it was 2 rooms made into one, so it was very spacious with 2 full bathrooms. The restaurant on site, Gio, was really good. Great menu and very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
