Situated by hiking trails, next to the River Otra, this property offers an award-winning restaurant and free private parking. Hovden Water Park & Spa is 5 minutes' drive away. WiFi is free in public areas. Plentiful, lots of choices. Far more than expected or needed. All we tried was excellent!!

All units in the inn are fitted with a kettle. The rooms are equipped with a shared bathroom with a shower, while some rooms also feature a terrace and others also feature garden views. All guest rooms feature bed linen. Good location in a pretty area, 3 points for having shelter, heat and electricity.
The room was a decent size and had both comfy bed and a sofa(bed) which was nice to have. Nice terrace overlooking the lake with seating. Dinner was from a small menu but the food was excellent. We had fish with creamed risotto, new potatoes and some sugar snaps. Breakfast had a seriously good selection of both hot and cold items. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. There is plenty to walk round and if you have kids they will absolutely love it.
Its my second time in the hotel. I would say it is near to where I needed to be but in Arendal everything is near....Lovely hotel. Fab without being pretentious, breakfast to die for (best we've had in Norway), views are fantastic, rooms uber comfy. Bath is spotless and well heated...All in call - a winner on all fronts. Oh...and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Splendid breakfast. Superb dinner. Super staff. Ms Marta! Master chef in the kitchen! Comfy bed.
Fun place for adults and kids alike! Great location with its own entrance to the zoo. Breakfast and dinner was delicious but expensive and not included. Great atmosphere and you can even buy tails of different animals so your kids (or adults) kan cosplay their favorite. Fridge in the room

The room was excellent. Nice modern design, wonderful view from the enormous window. Spotless clean. Nice bathroom. Good breakfast. Amazing dinner at Grenseløs restaurant!
BREAKFAST,WAS OK LOTS TO CHOOSE FROM VERY NICE ,GOOD DINNING AREA. LOCATION, WAS IN THE TOWN SO HAD TO PARK THE CAR IN THE HOTEL CAR PARK WHICH WAS NEXT DOOR TO THE HOTEL ENTRANCE WHICH WORKED FINE. ROOM, WAS FINE BUT NO PLUG IN THE BATHROOM SINK,
Nice location, nice view over the fjord. Included parking makes everything easy. Good breakfast, enough options not to get bored for a few days. Even the filter coffee is acceptable. Nice restaurant for a drink nearby the water, or if you want a place to have dinner (especially the beef steak). Bed linens and towels clean and fresh, cleanliness in the rest of the room also ok.
Nice hotel in the centre of Kristiansand. Good dinner in the restaurant.
