Long Compton
The Red Lion is a Grade 2 listed stone-built coaching inn dating from 1748, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and well situated for Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick, Oxford and The Cotswolds. We had an amazing time at the Red Lion Inn. Our stay was wonderful! The inn is extremely cozy! They had little details that made the arrival wonderful (radio with some classical music playing, nice lightning) The decor/art on the inn and the rooms was beautiful. The bath was very big which was a plus for being even more comfortable! Breakfast and food were delicious. The staff was super nice an attentive! Doggies allowed which made the place even better (we didn’t have one but still it was nice to see them around)

Breakfast was good and served in a very pleasant dinning room.
Really clean . Lots of towels and also bathrobes . We loved all the little touches - the dining table was set for dinner for when we arrived, Real house plants around, good range of cook books and magazines. A good quality coffee machine and even an air fryer. Every thing was extremely well thought out.
Room spacious and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was good. Staff were attentive.
Comfy, clean room. Pleasant and responsive innkeeper who does not hover but was available when needed. Kitchen/fridge stocked with essentials. We really had a great stay here for our purposes as a traveling team for business. We look forward to returning!
Beautifully presented, restored historic inn.
Room was rustic, grounds and building were nice, good view out of the window from room 14. Dinner and breakfast were very good. Room a good size
very typical historic inn
Great location, in an historic inn. It's easy to reach from the main roads, the stations and to walk into the town centre. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room and beds, and good breakfast.
We loved the character and charm of this historic inn. It has been beautifully updated without taking away the charm. We also really enjoyed the food! We had both dinner & breakfast during our stay and the quality was the very best! Loved everything about this inn❤
Breakfast choices, aircon, friendly staff and historic inn in a very central location. Rooms were quiet, comfortable and well appointed. The fridge and fresh milk were appreciated as it was over 30C outside when we stayed.
