I loved staying here. Hawkedon is such a beautiful place - amazing views and skies. A great pub with a lovely menu and few minutes walk away so very convenient dinner option. The annexe itself is cozy, well appointed and very comfortable. I was warmly welcomed, parking is easy and the location is in good reach of Bury St Edmunds.
Great location just at start of old Bury Edmunds within walking distance of all sights and shops. Room was rustic, comfortable with nice shower and added touch of Nespresso machine. Food for dinner and breakfast was great and of course beer was amazing. Staff were all friendly and helpful throughout stay.
Staff were friendly, all excellent in looking after the customers. The chef cooked meals were exceptionally good and good value. The historic inn has been pleasingly decorated.
A splendid historic inn
Comfortable, historic inn. Good breakfast . Convenient for our function.
Visited as a couple as a birthday treat. Beautifully put together guest house with considered touches and a very large, comfy bed. We took the Regency Room (I believe the biggest of the three available). The chef delivered a high quality dinner and breakfast, at a very reasonable price. Staff very friendly and excellent hosts.
We had our wedding party in this hotel exactly 41 years ago. we planned to celebrate our ;0th anniversary at The Swan but covid derailed those plans as Australia was locked down for international travel. it is an Tudor historic inn and has some lovely features, including the private dining room we had our reception in.
