Very pleasant, helpful & efficient staff. Excellent dinner & nice breakfast all served beautifully.
Very relaxed atmosphere and chilled staff. Room with separate entrance/exit which made it very convenient for guest with dogs. Dinner in restaurant was superb.
Compact but comfortable and very handy to railway station (20 minute walk) riverside (5 minute walk), pub (5 minute walk) and centre of town (10-15 minute walk). Very good quality TV. The outdoor space will be great for warmer weather. Although the flat is on a main road (Star Lane), it is very well sound-insulated. We had a small issue upon arrival, but Fred was extremely helpful and sorted it while we were out for dinner. Wonderful shower unit.
Stayed here previously that is why I booked. Friendly courteous welcome by one of the managers and shown to room once usual paperwork completed. Dunwich was my double room this time, with a very comfortable bed, and en-suite shower. Good array of refreshments. Was eating elsewhere for dinner although had a delicious breakfast booked. Croissants were a dream. Highly recommend.
Staff were friendly, all excellent in looking after the customers. The chef cooked meals were exceptionally good and good value. The historic inn has been pleasingly decorated.
A splendid historic inn
Comfortable, historic inn. Good breakfast . Convenient for our function.
Visited as a couple as a birthday treat. Beautifully put together guest house with considered touches and a very large, comfy bed. We took the Regency Room (I believe the biggest of the three available). The chef delivered a high quality dinner and breakfast, at a very reasonable price. Staff very friendly and excellent hosts.
We had our wedding party in this hotel exactly 41 years ago. we planned to celebrate our ;0th anniversary at The Swan but covid derailed those plans as Australia was locked down for international travel. it is an Tudor historic inn and has some lovely features, including the private dining room we had our reception in.
