Room was excellent - nice and roomy overlooking the main street which is very quiet. spotlessly clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed in the top bedroom under the roof, and despite the heat, it felt lovely and cool. The bed was very comfortable, the decor was amazing with old features. Brilliant shower and bathroom, fully equipped room and a lovely enclosed yard. The owners were fantastic and very attentive. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend it. The town itself was nice to walk around too.

Historical building, the location was excellent, close to everything restaurants, shops, historical sites, about a mile to the railroad station. My room upstairs had 2 windows so I could leave them open for fresh air!. The restaurant downstairs in the bar was just excellent! We had lunch here. Steak and Ale pie is so good! The included English cooked breakfast or other choices, was just perfect. The coffee was excellent! The rooms are a bit worn but larger than average. Warning, there are no elevators here! We were up about 4 banks of stairs.
