Situated in Auchterarder, 11 km from Gleneagles, The Smiddy Haugh is a family-run business offering accommodation with a garden. From the moment on arrival we were met with smiles and friendliness by (Laura I think that was the woman's name) and both Nicky and Richard made our stay so welcoming. Especially the warm welcome from Jasper the dog. This place is dog friendly but your never bothered by them unless you like too clap them, the locals we met were extremely friendly and happy to chat with you. The owners and staff could not do anything more for you, they went out their way to make your feel like one of the family. We had dinner there, and it was so fresh and tasty (loved the chicken pakora) and the sea bass and steak was cooked to perfection. Breakfast was also good, a selection of cereals, yogurts and fruit to start, then your cooked breakfast was ample and was more than enough to keep you going for the day. We came in as guests and left as friends, we'll be back again to stay and to come for lunch. Thank you all so much for a lovely stay and making us welcome - Mandy and Mike x

Situated in the centre of the highland resort of Pitlochry, The Old Mill Inn is a 5-minute walk from Pitlochry rail station and many high street shops. Free parking is available on site. Lovely staff and a beautiful, neat room. Very well situated. It also has a great restaurant and bar. The rooms were spacious, modern and very pretty, with fantastic bathrooms.

On the banks of the River Tay, situated at the Grandtully rapids, this family-friendly inn is surrounded by scenic Perthshire countryside. We absolutely loved the Inn on the Tay, the location next to the river Tay is amazing, the room (we had a family room number 5) was very cosy and super clean and nicely decorated, which made us feel like home immediately. The beds were super for chilling and the bar and restaurant were charming and very 'gezellig '. We liked to take a drink and played some games with the family. The owners and personnel were all very sweet, relaxt and helpful. The walk along their river with the dogs was nice and challenging for the dogs by jumping over the rocks.

Set in Perthshire countryside, The Bankfoot is a cosy 18th-century Scottish inn. There is free Wi-Fi on site, and all rooms have flat-screen TVs with digital channels and DVD players. With a rural location in peaceful Glenfarg, The Bein Inn Hotel & Restaurant is also just 5 minutes' drive from the M90 motorway. Breakfast was excellent Dinner was amazing, food excellent and staff friendly and attentive Room needs upgrading but was spotless

This traditional 18th century coaching inn boasts 9 en suite rooms with free Wi-Fi. Each room features a TV, as well as an iPod docking station..Extras include free toiletries and a hairdryer. The service was out of this world. The food was delicious. Accommodation lovely.

Situated in the heart of Perthshire, The Tower offers self-catering studio apartments above its own family-run gastro pub. Free WiFi is accessible in public areas, and free parking is possible on... Great location in centre of Crieff with easy access in all directions. Our room was the family room at the top of building, which was spacious and beautifully fitted out. Will return as weel as recommend to friends. Staff were super helpful and super polite.

Ideally situated for exploring the Perthshire Highlands, the Moulin Hotel offers free WiFi, a restaurant serving home-cooked food and real ale produced in the hotel’s own micro brewery. Absolutely picturesque. The pub had great food and beer. All of the staff were kind and accommodating.We missed breakfast the next day because we slept in (breakfast is served until 9:30) but they were lovely, we ate from the buffet, and they gave us toast. The area outside the breakfast area is wedding worthy. I would stay here again and again.
