Guests can enjoy The Inn Bar & Restaurant, along with beautiful loch views. There is Wi-Fi throughout the Main Inn although some public areas are limited.
Breakfast was excellent as were the staff. I had a problem with my TV and wifi. The manager came right down and sorted it out quickly. Great place to stay.
Balloch
Situated next to Balloch Rail Station, Tullie Inn offers comfortable accommodation 1 mile from Alexandria town centre. Free WiFi is available in all public areas, and free private parking is possible on site. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful stay. Great restaurant and bar
Balmaha
Standing in the shade of a magnificent 500-year-old oak tree, this traditional bar/restaurant is ideal for those wishing to escape from the rush of modern day life. The non-smoking inn is adjacent to the West Highland Way and is ideal for walkers. After a long day spent exploring the region’s magnificent scenery and breathing in the invigorating fresh air, you can satisfy your hard-earned hunger with a delicious meal. Food is served all day and the bar has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere and a real log fire. Superb and cosy room with a brand new super comfortable mattress. Clean bathroom and great buffet breakfast. Staff were very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Only £10 for a late check out too!
Drymen
The Clachan Inn has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Drymen. Located around 22 km from Lake of Menteith, the inn with free WiFi is also 26 km away from Glasgow Botanic Gardens. The property is non-smoking and is situated 18 km from Mugdock Country Park. We loved everything about the clachan inn, the staff friendly, room and beds very comfy, food excellent and location perfect .
Room was spacious, bed comfortable, room all in was very clean. Bathroom, loved the lit up mirror Dinner was good, steak cooked to perfection, good helping Cooked breakfast was tasty and plenty. Gym, swimming pool , and the sauna was great. Staff was very helpful and pleasant
We booked this room, not really knowing what to expect…not knowing this area we were very pleased with the position… beautiful …looking out to the river that flowed into Loch Lomond. The bar staff were really friendly…..we didn’t actually eat at this inn as we were meeting friends elsewhere, but the place seemed quite busy, which is always a good sign. The room was spacious & warm. View from from window is below. Would certainly recommend..
The Tullie Inn is a lovely welcoming and cosy place. I stayed 1 night in the family room with my 2 children (15 & 8) which was very spacious and had everything needed. The breakfast was great. Staff where very friendly and extremely helpful.
Gowanlea Guest House is a gem. Great accommodation and breakfast provided by Andrea. Less than 5 minutes walk to the Country Park, restaurants and lovely pubs in Balloch. Excellent base for south Loch Lomond.

The room was small but comfortable and the shower was good. Dinner and breakfast were great, the staff were friendly and we just loved the time we spent in the bar. We would consider booking again if we have the opportunity to return.
Very nicely decorated house and grounds, great views. Lovely staff, especially Annie and Alex, but everyone we met was very accommodating and friendly. Spotless room. Dinner and lunch menus were wide ranging and very tasty.
We stayed at Braeside on the first night of our walk on the West Highland Way. This guest house is well situated in the centre of Drymen. It was warm, very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast at the Drymen Inn was also excellent. The owner of Braeside was extremely friendly and helpful and she had loads of local knowledge.
- The location, we had amazing views to the lake. - There’s a bar just next to the guest house where we had a very tasty dinner. - the room was nice with smart TV, comfy bed and nice bathroom.
We loved the beautiful room comfortable beds, it was spotless breakfast was lovely and fresh restaurant had a lovely dinner, amazing seating outside loved the veiw, so relaxing the staff were helpful and couldn't do enough for us appreciated whole experience thanks to all at the Guest house 😀
