Nothing was too much trouble for Jane in the kitchen a good choice of gluten free , a great breakfast & evening meal of a very high standard. We had a lovely 2 nights stay & would certainly go back. room quite small for a weeks stay,small shower room,massive comfortable warm double bed,room nice and clean.breakfast was 5*.we only dinner on one evening and that to was 5*.we enjoyed our stay.
After an awful night at a guest house our two families of 3 and 4 booked in to the Vine. Rooms were lovely, clean, quirky and very comfortable. It was a little noisy with people in the bar downstairs overnight but this didn't disturb us. Dinner was excellent with great choice, tasty wellcooked food and very helpful staff.
Clean, comfortable, well-run guest house with good big rooms & bathrooms and very decent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Location is excellent, spitting distance from cathedral, castle, plenty of good places to eat (recommend Jew's House & Ole, Ole), pubs (recommend Strugglers Inn). It's a 15-min walk from the station but remember there is the well-named Steep Hill to climb on the way there!
Ive Stayed in many guest houses over the years ,but can honestly say ive never been offered a breakfast like you receive at Southwold. It was the biggest best cooked breakfast , in the most beautiful dinning room ive come across. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The guest house itself was beautiful, has was my room ,a short walk to the seafront at the end of the road ,perfect would definitely recommend 👌
