Kyleakin
Facing the beachfront, Glenarroch & Witchwood offers 3-star accommodation in Kyleakin and features a garden, restaurant and bar. Located around 17 km from Eilean Donan Castle, the inn with free WiFi is also 34 km away from Museum of the Isles. The property is non-smoking and is located 3.6 km from Kyle of Lochalsh. I travelled from Australia on a spiritual journey and met an American woman in the Saucy Mary restaurant next door. We are now engaged :)
Great location. We were encouraged at check in to book a table for dinner and are very glad we did so. It was super busy and we wouldn’t have got a table otherwise. Room was quiet Good hot shower
Location is very nice and very good service. We had a very nice dinner.
This old, yet nicely updated Inn is in a lovely waterside location with beautiful mountain views. The staff were incredibly accommodating to a medical emergency I had before arrival that once resolved, required a very late check in. Service at a full Scottish to made to order breakfast was lovely.
We had a fabulous stay at Aurora! Stunning setting, very comfortable bed and pods that are well equipped with kitchen utensils including local welcoming treats. The EV charging on site was great, perfect to charge our car overnight and tour the island during the day. We had dinner at 1 restaurant Red Skye at walking distance (gets pretty busy so advised to book) and got a takeaway pizza in Broadford another evening. It was truly top notch - we can’t wait to come back!
Everything even the weather ;-) S&J are lovely hosts, breakfast and dinner was a pleasure.
Beautiful views, modern design, comfortable room, well stocked with everything we needed. Great breakfast at the hotel. Dinner was also great. Wonderful hotel staff.
Great hosts who were always happy to assist with ideas for places to go and also they opened up dining room so we could have dinner in house. Room was very clean and shower was the best we have experienced across over 15 guest houses we have stayed at on this trip.
Lovely new hotel/guest house, recently built or at least completely refurbished. Equipped with love to details and quality. Big summer terrace with great view to the sea for sundowners. Great team with Murdo, Alison and Scott, very friendly and forthcoming. I strongly recommend to try the dinner in the guest house. Finest Scottish cuisine with French inspiration, offered only for guests of the house, private dining room. Best cook we met on our Scotland tour. This place was really (!) outstanding.
Having not been to Skye previously it’s difficult to compare vs other guest houses, but it is clear why this is one of the highest rated. Simone and Jonathan were lovely and very accommodating. We had dinner in the evening (BYOB) which was really nice. Breakfast was fantastic. Make sure you do Neist Point and if doing Fairy Pools, mosquito spray is a must.
