Staff were great, Beer was fantastic (Camra member so always going to be good!) food was really interesting, and very tasty, rooms were really nice.
A wonderful REAL pub with rooms, in a great location. Not overly fussy, not shiny and new. Just a proper country pub.
(I also rather like the wandering and very friendly pub dogs.)
Got up early so thought I would miss breakfast, but was met by Andrew and asked if I would like a bacon sandwich to take with me. Amazing!
Really cannot fault it. My kind of place!
Abergavenny
Located in the heart of the Welsh market town of Abergavenny, Kings Arms Hotel offers bed and breakfast accommodation, a restaurant and free Wi-Fi throughout. The property is set in a late 16th century coaching inn. Absolutely loved this overnight stay. Exceeded my expectation! Staff were great, room was lovely and despite having a downside view you had no disturbances from the bar terrace below. Beds were really comfy and breakfast was amazing. Also love the idea of ordering your breakfast the night before so they can prepare accordingly and avoid food wastage. I also asked for something extra in the morning and this was no problem. We also asked around for restaurant recommendations and a few suggested the hotel restaurant. The food was fab and a mixed vibe of guests with tables nicely spread out for privacy.

The outside of the inn with the hanging baskets The location ( near museum, castle and tourist information). Enjoyed breakfast. The way the room was decorated. The coffee machine and the variety of teas plus Welsh bara brith and Welsh cakes. Friendly staff.
Room was big clean , full English was lovely , dinner was lovely to view was good see the church from our room .staff was all friendly. Plenty seating outside
Breakfast disappointing. Dinner very good. Room a good size and bed comfortable, but some minor issues. Bathroom door wouldn’t close, spiders/cobwebs in all corners, bathroom shelf stuck in place with blue tack.
Son commented when we walked in that it was like walking into someone's home. Comfy beds and good size bathroom with powerful shower. Very peaceful location, conveniently situated within 30 minutes of most attractions. Best place for shopping is Abergavenny. Would recommend Skirrid Inn for sheer atmosphere. Kitchen quite good. Large extra plump sofas. Big dining table.
Would have have been highest score if two bathrooms and a larger dinning room table.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Three Tuns Inn. The rooms are amazing: carefully decorated, spacious, and quiet. The staff is lovely and extremely attentive.
Very friendly staff, in particular the lady who served dinner on Thursday and Friday evening and our breakfast on Saturday. . Accessible to where we needed to be. Very spacious room and comfortable bed.

Very friendly and attentive staff. The hotel is a characterful historic Inn and very conveniently located in Abergavenny. The breakfast was good too. Would stay there again.
