A wonderful REAL pub with rooms, in a great location. Not overly fussy, not shiny and new. Just a proper country pub. (I also rather like the wandering and very friendly pub dogs.) Got up early so thought I would miss breakfast, but was met by Andrew and asked if I would like a bacon sandwich to take with me. Amazing! Really cannot fault it. My kind of place!

Staff were great, room was lovely and despite having a downside view you had no disturbances from the bar terrace below. Beds were really comfy and breakfast was amazing. Also love the idea of ordering your breakfast the night before so they can prepare accordingly and avoid food wastage. I also asked for something extra in the morning and this was no problem. We also asked around for restaurant recommendations and a few suggested the hotel restaurant. The food was fab and a mixed vibe of guests with tables nicely spread out for privacy.

Really sweet rooms, super friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere and breakfast.
