Amiens
Set in Amiens, 2.4 km from Zénith d'Amiens, Le Vivier offers accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Located around 3 km from Amiens Train Station, the inn with free WiFi is also 2.9 km away from Berny's Museum. The accommodation provides room service, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage for guests. I was not familiar with the area and was trying to book something near the city center. However, despite the location, it was still a great place. There was parking, which is always good. The room was upstairs and the stairway was narrow, so be careful if you aren't good with stairs. The room was nice, and there was a fan - bonus!! The windows faced the street so it was a little loud with traffic, but once we laid down we fell asleep because we had walked all day. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic!! I would highly recommend Le Vivier - the price was good, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. But, make sure you bring a washcloth or soap sponge - that is something I found that most hotels do not have.
Heilly
Located in Heilly, 20 km from Amiens Train Station, L'auberge fleurie provides accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. Located around 20 km from The Floating gardens Park, the inn with free WiFi is also 22 km away from Berny's Museum. The property is non-smoking and is situated 23 km from Zénith d'Amiens. I actually came for the rooms, stayed for the kitchen. The accomodation is in close proximity to the site on the Somme battlefield. The rooms have comfortable beds with newly renovated bathrooms, everything you need, when you are out all day long. Everything is very clean and taken care of. The patron family was altogether very nice and made the stay very welcoming. What was really great though was the food served for dinner. If you have the chance, eat here and support this local gem in the countryside.
Péronne
Auberge des Remparts is situated in Péronne, 700 metres from Museum of the Great War, and features a terrace, a shared lounge and a bar. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Everything was really good. The only suggestion I have is that there should be rooms fans available to rent. It was very hot and the room was stuffy. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful.
Magali and Oliver were great hosts. Dinner was exceptional with wine and chocolates. Breakfast was great and served on time which always helps if you need to get off early. Just sat in garden and chilled when we arrived
Our host was very welcoming and very helpful. He provided information and suggestions on all the sites and local things to do. He also offered suggestions for dinner. Breakfast was delicious and very generous. We were so delighted that we stayed an extra night which Jean-Louis was only too happy to assist with!
Okay three things here, it’s remote and you cannot get a taxi company to come and get you in the morning even if you try them all! The waitress at dinner is very anti tourist. The rooms are tiny but clean.
Kevin who was our host could not have been more pleasant or helpful. He arranged a dinner reservation at a restaurant nearby. He supplied bottles of cold beer for us to enjoy in the last of the afternoon sunshine. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious. Lots of homemade items too eg jams, yoghurt.
Initial impression when we walked in at 6pm ish, for a one night stay was favourable, modern and clean building and apartment. Went out for dinner and returned to go to bed.
Great hotel, located outside of Paris in the calm nature of Chantilly area. Breakfast and dinner area are beautiful, serving very good food. More than enough parking facilities, and even though it is a big hotel with many rooms, you get the feeling of a very small hotel.
The Guest house is charming with a wonderful atmosphere and excellent hosts . Our stay was completely comfortable and we left after having a delightful breakfast.
Spacious and elegantly furnished room. Bathroom was old-fashioned but spacious and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ideally located for visiting the wonderful cathedral. Excellent dinner and breakfast in cosy dining and breakfast rooms. Very good menus and wine list.
The accommodation is large with separate bedroom, and kitchen dinner. The staff were great.
Excepting the fact that everyday for the ones with demipension they had dinner a la carte but in the same time they had the same menu (just once in 5 days they changed a course but not from the written menu, just verbally) everything was just fine for us.
