Daroca

Pintano is a very small atmospheric old hill town in the Spanish Pyrenees. It's basically in the middle of nowhere, but we made it a stop on our way back to Madrid from the French border near Jaca. A great choice because the inn is comfortable and the innkeeper (Jose) a really nice guy. He fed us an excellent 3 course meal, with wine, for 15 euros. A modest Spanish breakfast (coffee, toast and a packaged cake) is also included. A bit interesting to drive to the top of the town through the narrow alleys, but any passenger car can make it.
Valdecuenca

The owner was helpful and gave us a lot of information on the hiking paths in the vicinity. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, with very spacious bathrooms. We planned to stay one night, but we prolonged our stay. Great breakfast on the terrace with a view of the valley. The restaurant serves tasty diners. Great value for money!
Undués-Pintano

Friendly people, big room with a nice shower, at breakfast was very nice. nice garden to sit outside and chill. You can hear the river and great view on the mountains. I loved the small towns Broto and Oto. Nice to go out for a dinner. The cows with the bells walk around the Hotel.
We had a wonderful stay at O Chardinet d’a Forminga. It is located in a cute village with beautiful towns and hiking locations nearby. The owners were caring, friendly and very helpful with perfect recommendations. Breakfast was great and having dinner at least once is a must!
I liked that the pension offered daily housekeeping service and there was free water. Our private shower was bigger than expected as well!
Clean and very comfortable! The breakfast was a good continental on their lovely terrace. The innkeeper gave us nice guidance on local hikes- we went on a spectacular high pass trail. The Aragon Mountains are truly beautiful. We also had restaurants suggested- very good!!
Big and clean and comfortable. Room was pleasant and clean with shared balcony. Kitchen, lounge, garden. Pleasant reception (finally) by the helpful Juan. Dinner was in the bar in the local community centre. It was good. Shared bathrooms were bright and clean; but, shared.
The location is amazing, right next to Plaza del Torico in the heart of the historical center. The room itself was cozy and kept warm at night. The innkeeper was very friendly and welcoming, and he communicated well despite the language barrier.
The moment you walk through the door you feel that calmness that the owners obviously work hard to maintain. The rustic feel and lovely quiet courtyard makes you feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere. The honesty bar is a great idea, the dinner an experience, it is for sure the first time the "butter" was the light for the table and to eat with the bread! The deserts and cheese are lovely and the local wines make a perfect pairing and to end the next day fresh breads, cakes and jams for a lovely breakfast.
