Hostería Papagayo is a great place to enjoy nature. It has plenty of friendly animals (dogs, horses, lamas, chickens, rabbits, etc) and offers diverse activities (tours to Cotopaxi (around 30min from the park entrance), horse riding, night walks on the property) which we enjoyed a lot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was nice having a restaurant on site, we particularly enjoyed the grilled trout. Our room was large, clean and the chimney gave it a very cosy touch while keeping us warm after an outdoor jacuzzi session! We highly recommend this place.
Hacienda Tambillo Alto
Featuring panoramic volcano views and a forest reserve, Sierra Alisos offers a restaurant and free Wi-Fi in Hacienda Tambillo Alto. Tambillo train station is 9 km away and Quito City is a 45-minute drive. Amazing place! Food was fantastic, the host couple Raul and paula were very sweet and helpful. Wonderful nature with hiking trails and lovely hang out places at the hacienda.
Hacienda Santa Ana
Featuring a garden overlooking the Pasochoa Volcano, Hacienda Santa Ana is set in a charming house combining modern and antique design. It is located 7 km from Cotopaxi National Park. WiFi is available in public areas. Excellent Property. We stayed for 2 nights two adults and two kids and we all had a great time. The service was amazing, the breakfast delicious, and the Hacienda was simply perfect! The kids loved feeding the Alpacas and the horse back riding as well. Thank you!

Very friendly family running the property, currently they are constructing a really large and beautiful pool, jacuzzi, Turkish steam room and sauna in a separate property adjacent their house. We enjoyed the dinner, especially the carrot soup. The owner shared local wine with us and showed us videos and additional activities in Sigchos.

Good and quiet accommodation with very kind hosts, delicious dinner and useful tips for the area. High-speed WiFi for remote work is a big advantage. The hike from Quilotoa Crater to the hostel is challenging, but the views are magnificent.
Right at the trailhead of the Quilatoa loop. About 1 km away from Sigchos and sitting on a ridge, it possesses amazing mountain views. I was never tired looking at the mountains and clouds during my stay. The amenity was fairly simple, but decent enough for you to have a good sleep before kicking the trail. They also provided dinner and breakfast, plus purified water for hikers to fill up. Great place to stay if you'd like to arrive in Sigchos before start hiking the next day!
Everything was great! Delicious breakfast and dinner, amazing view, best hot shower in Ecuador, great stuff and very clean room Surprisingly I was all alone in the entire hotel. Highly recommend this place!
Family run hostel. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Staff spoke no English and communication was a little tricky. Location was great for hiking the Quilotoa Loop. Able to do some self service laundry (washing machine + drier) for free which was great mid hike! Included breakfast and dinner were good with plenty of food to go around.
Liked the friendliness of the staff. And, the recommendation for dinner at a nearby restaurant was great! Walking distant to the market, and cute outdoor balcony!
The location is wonderful- right in an easily walkable part of town. The staff could not have been nicer. We arrived late and they helped arrange airport pickup, and then we were able to eat dinner at the hotel. It was such a nice place to stay after a long travel day. I highly recommend!!
I stayed with my friend and my son and we all had a wonderful time! We enjoyed our time at the country inn more than our time in the Galapagos. It was so homey and the staff is so helpful. And the food is FANTASTIC.
Beautiful location to start our quilotoa loop in the morning, breakfast and dinner was amazing. Everyone was super helpful and kind about our awful Spanish, and the dogs were super cute. Rustic facilities, warm fire, comfortable bed.. perfect for our needs! Muchas gracias!
