Guests are offered gardening and orchard activities, as well as tours around the farm that involve milking cows. It's difficult to pick just one thing that we liked because the Hacienda San Isidro de Iltaqui was extraordinary in so many ways! We loved the hacienda's ambiance, the farm fresh food was delicious, and the hosts offered attentive, personal, old world hospitality that will bring us back. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Loved the room with the fireplace, comfortable bed and the surrounding garden. The family was very friendly welcoming and helpful giving directions. They also invited me for their Christmas fun and dinner. The food was just devine.
The room was beautiful along with the entire complex. Breakfast the next morning was amazing and the owner met us and recommended a great place for dinner.
Rustic interior and friendly staff
The hosts were friendly and flexible - I asked for a late check-out and they were willing to accommodate that without issue. The room was comfortable, with good bedding and pillows. The bathroom was clean, and the hot water worked well. I did not eat any meals there, though they offered dinner and breakfast.
Beautiful quaint small property on quiet street so no traffic noise. The owner has a blog describing everything about the area in detail. Staff was very helpful. Rooms not big but sufficiently comfortable, great hot showers. Yes the food is fantastic. Dinning room great for conversing with all the other travelers. There is a rooftop to watch the pretty sun set over the mountains and I think he should fix that up some more.
Loma Wasi was an AMAZING place. My husband and adult son enjoyed a wonderful evening and morning in the company of Mercedes and her family. She gave us a tour of her beautiful vegetable and flower garden (with the help of our guide who translated) and prepared a delicious simple dinner. We slept comfortably with the farm noises nudging us awake early the next day to enjoy the eggs and pancake breakfast. We will be talking about this one night for a long time. Remarkable.
Amazing stay at The Traveler Hostel. The staff were all lovely and super helpful, with information on what to do in and around Otavalo. Incredible kitchen facilities for cooking dinners, and a nice space next to reception to chill and watch a bit of Netflix if you fancy. Great location, being a 10 min walk from the town and also close to Waterfalls and bus stops for trips out to the surrounding area.
Hostal Riviera Sucre is in a great location, you can easily walk to all the sights in Otavalo. The inner courtyard and the garden are very beautiful and invite you to linger. The hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and competent, we felt very welcome and comfortable. The room is big and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is very good with a choice of breads, cheeses, cereals and yoghurts.
Loved our host, very sweet people and didn't mind me using Google translate to communicate better. He even took us to a few places most visitors probably don't think about. They prepared us dinner one night which was great! The house is super cute and clean, love the view to the lake. The town is safe to walk I'm at night. Make sure to go to Bambu Grill. Great place to eat.
